The Teachings of A Young Mystic

Section 1: Karma and Freewill-
Your Karma and life is your own business. If you want to be vegetarian, be vegetarian! If you want to be Buddhist, be Buddhist! We are given the right to nigh-free willpower. If a baby will be born, they will be born. Karma is just what will, has, and is happening. However, there are things that should not be done. If you discriminate against someone because of their skin color, religion, or place of birth, you are not a friend of the world. This world is filled with many situations that needs help. There is good, there is bad. There is God, there is devil. There is moral, there is immoral, there is amoral.
Section 2: Yoga
Yoga is of Sanskrit origin and is especially important for spiritual life. The word yoga comes from the root Yuj which means "to add", "to join", "to unite", or "to attach". I can see that. It helps us connect to our spirituality and relaxation. The gods meditate, we meditate and do yoga, and we reach spirituality. Should children learn yoga? Well, that's an interesting question. They might not be ready for yoga yet, but it can help them relax, and carry on cultural traditions for families who live Dharmic lifestyles. Then again, with times that are changing, they are less into yoga. It is designed to make the mind silent. Help people achieve Moksha and see the true nature of this universe.
Section 3: What is God, and how can you support God?
In the Abrahamic Religions, people believe "God" is the only truly powerful being, that created the universe and all living things. Now, what do I believe God is? When you were born, you notice things you have never seen before. Obviously, they were there before you were born. As a result, all species are lower forms of God, as they are created and born, thanks to their parents, and will eventually grow up and have the right to reproduce themselves. Before globalization and travel, people did not know about white people, black people, etc, and black people declared "God must be black.". In Hindu mythology, we have many gods, such as Hanuman (a monkey), Sita (human-like), and Garuda (an Eagle). So, due to all species being created and having the right to reproduce, we have all types of god. We have cow god, we have monkey god, we have the brown god, etc. You can not define what god is. You can not understand it. Now, how can you show devotion to God? Well, many Hindus offer honey, milk, and rice. I agree with them. God gave us nature and the universe, so we should be thanking them. There is Vissapana, the act of realizing the true nature of the universe and avoiding speech for days or even months, and there's Bhakti, devotion to God in Hinduism. In Hinduism, Kali represents fierce aggression and forgiveness. Shiva represents creation and destruction. Which makes sense, considering all species go through birth and death through their life, and everything shows up, and gets damaged at some point. In Hindu mythology, a lot of deities represent certain things we see in real life. Shakti is phenomenon, and Saraswati is the creativity that lives in us humans.
Section 4: Helping the environment
There are problems with the environment nowadays, such as pollution, droughts or animal hunting. But there are solutions. You can help by spending money on solar, wind and hydrothermal energy. This will help both humans and animals, as less electricity and oil will be used, reducing our risk of lung cancer. I recommend a reduction of red meat consumption, as beef uses a lot of water, and avoiding it will help save water for agriculture, as fruits, nuts, and vegetables are important for humans. We must help the environment. It is the true nature of this world. Reduce the time you watch TV. Visit a park or environmental place a few times a month, like a park in Utah, the East Lake in Hubei, China, Mojave Desert, or near a waterfall. Eat some of the flowers, cactus fruit, and certain leaves.
Section 5: Using substances
See, the reason people use drugs... they are looking for experiences. As the Buddha said, "Do not consume intoxicants.". Buddhist monks and scholars have agreed this is referring to alcohol and tobacco, and there is debate whether marijuana should be allowed or not. Now, how do I feel about drugs? They are bad. It ruins people's health. Marijuana, though, is less harmful, thanks to studies shown by scientists, and there are Sadhus who use it for religious reasons, to show support for Lord Shiva.
Section 6: Helping the economy
The economy goes through prosperity and struggles. I pray to Lakshmi every week to help the economy. In my opinion, the world should follow low taxes, and reduced military spending, instead, spending on infrastructure and healthcare. Long ago, we had to live in caves, and energy was not a thing. Now, we have technology and business, but also poverty and income disparity. The solution is to improve healthcare, prices, and sanitation. All of us are species. We are all friends of Lord Shiva, so we should really work to help each other.
Section 7: The Way of Shiva and the Buddha
The Buddha's lifestyle was logical. He grew up, was rich, but realized the truth of the world and decided to live a life of helping others. That was smart. He helped an injured goose, as it has a life too and deserves to live. He lived a life of meditation and non-violence. Now, what is the way of Shiva? Well, it is undefined. It's like a bottomless pit. You fall forever, which is actually good because you won't have anything to hit on contact. Shiva creates and destroys, which is the reason nature exists. The question is: Is it hard to define Shiva's way? It is. There are some things that people might not consider. Like the fact that some Sadhus smoke marijuana to show support for Shiva, believing it is given by Shiva to nature. For all I know, this could be true, but I still might not ever use cannabis in life. Shiva creates and destroys. Something that happens in life. We are born, we die and are reincarnated. This cycle continues until we reach Moksha
Section 8: Helping Others
As a Hindu, the Gita taught me to love everyone, and help others (be it a human or any other speices). As I just said, we are taught to help others. One way of doing this, you can become vegetarian, vegan or partially vegetarian. This will help both humans and animals. It takes space with livestock and water and multiple of food is needed for a simple pound of meat. Even just a few people vegetarian/vegan will be enough to feed a small neighborhood, instead of just one family.
