A Life of Wonders (A True Life Story)
A Life of Wonders was well established in the Scriptures according to Acts 10:38 saying "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Also, in Luke 4:18 saying "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."
It is important to know that the Good God creates time to do wonders in the life of anyone who creates time for Him because He is God of wonders. This is exactly what happened to a believer who minds intimacy with the God of wonders and living to please Him more than any other things.
The Pattern of Jesus Christ is the Pattern of the Believer of Wonders.
The believer rises early in the morning first to worship the Lord as Jesus Christ (Mark 1:35). As a result, one glorious day this believer had a mighty encounter with God in his room where he daily stands to worship the Almighty God. He was truly empowered for wonderful works. It was laid on his heart to lift up his hands to Heaven and immediately the power fell on him and there was great shaking just like moses encountered God and performed wonders with his rod. He created time to know more about God through His Word. By this he got understanding of characters God uses for great exploits like Abraham, Moses, Elijah, David, Daniel, Joseph, Apostles and Jesus Christ who was the Head among them. The believer's hand was divinely empowered like the rod of Moses who was mightily used to deliver his people from the Land of bondage because of his loving and passionate heart for God and his people. Truly, every challenge bows to whoever bows to worship God always." Moreover, the believer goes out doing good everywhere; at workplace he is diligent, helpful at the house of God and addicted to telling people about God's goodness. In nutshell, he desires everything of God more than food like our Saviour Jesus said in John 4:32-34.
What are the Characters of a Life of Wonders?
- Love of God and Passion for His works (John 4:32-34);
- Righteousness and faithfulness (Genesis 12);
- Purity of heart, meekness and mercifulness (Matthew 5);
- Praising and Praying (Exodus 15:11, Mark 1:35); and
- Addiction to God's Word (Matthew 4:4, Psalms 119:11&130);
How can we consistently encounter God of wonders?
- Living a life of holiness (1 Peter 1:15-16, Hebrews 9:12);
- Worshipping God in Spirit and truth (John 4:24);
- Praising and thanking God always (1 Thess 5:17-18, Acts 16:25);
- Fasting and praying in the Holy Ghost (Acts 13:1-2, Psalms 25, Jude 20);
- Serving God faithfully and desiring Him above all (John 4:32-34);
- Believing and expecting His wonders (Hebrews 11:6-8, Job 5:6-9); and
- Seeking His guidance on everything (Matthew 7:7).
In conclusion, truly whatever we do without putting God first will create worry but when we put God first before anything in life, His Wonders will attend our ways which will culminate in spiritual and unusual blessings beyond our imaginations and expectations.
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." - Ephesians 3:20-21. Shalom!
