The Law of Attraction - Attracting Abundance Through Mantras

Updated on May 11, 2017

Are mantras really the secret to attracting abundance?

I did an article a while back here on attracting abundance by chanting the seed mantras Shreem, Kleem and Brzee.
But now the self proclaimed "YouTube Guru" Dattatreya Siva Baba has come out with a new technique using a catch all mantra that is supposed to help everything.
He left in place the older Karma busting mantra Thiru Neela Kantam and has added a new Karma removing mantra Maakaral Shivaaya Nama.

The new mantra for bringing health and wealth into your life is Om Guru Namasivaya Dram Dattatreya Siva Baba Namaha.
In his "Awaken Your Inner Power" videos, Dattatreya Siva Baba explains just why this new mantra is supposed to work, and what it does.

As always, I am open to new things and I have been trying manifesting reality techniques since right around 2000.
(The Secret came out in 2006, so my search kinda pre-dated that by a few years)
Yep that's fourteen years and I still haven't found one that makes me go "Oh my God! This works!"
Oh I have had a few things happen here and there, but couldn't this be explained by the Law of Large Numbers rather than the Law of Attraction?
You keep doing something long enough and yes, eventually something IS going to happen.

Anyway, I thought I would give Dattatreya Siva Baba's new technique a spin and see just how it would work for me.
As of this entry, I have been doing it less than a week.
One thing kinda happened (I say kinda because again, it's something that may have happened anyway).
But as I said, I have been doing it less than a week.
BUT, when you read the testimonials on his site, you see where major, unexplainable, things have happened in 24 to 48 hours.
That did not least in my case.

Baskaran Pillai, also known as Dattatreya Siva Baba - Manifesting Law of Attraction

Am I skeptical?
Well despite what it may seem like in reading this... no.
Like the old saying, I keep my mind open, just not open enough that my brain falls out.
If and when I find a technique that brings me something that I cannot explain and works consistently (not just once) I will shout it from the rooftops.
I won't create a website and sell it, or write an e-book you can buy, or beg for donations, I will give the information freely to try to help others.
Why would I need to sell it?
If it really works, I'll have all the money I need right?

But in keeping my mind open, and sharing his info as Dattatreya Siva Baba asked on his site, I am posting the four "Awaken Your Inner Power" videos here.
You can watch them and try the techniques he lays out.
If you have anything major happen, please share it in the comments section and let me know exactly what you did and how you did it.

I truly hope this does work.
I would love to help myself in attracting abundance (see...I'm honest...LOL) and my fellow man.

Update 10-17-09

Okay, as of 10-17-09, I have received $11.03 out of the blue.
Not a lot you may say, but so far it's beating every other technique I have tried.
And as Dattatreya Siva Baba put forth in his video, I will be donating 3% of what I get to his charity work.
As soon as I figure out how to donate 33 cents.
(That's about right isn't it? I am REALLY bad at math)
The thing about this is I don't see how it could be a scam.
He's not asking you to send money now, rather wait until you get it.
So how could he profit from that unless he really believes it will work?
Yes I realize you can download the mantra from his website for $3.00, but you don't have to do that. You can repeat the mantra on your own without that.
I'm going to continue on with this and hopefully I'll have a bigger amount to donate.

Very interesting article. While I've never tried Mantras I am a true believer in positive thinking. I often tell myself that things will work out, things will get better - and more often than not they do. I don't think my thoughts influence the future, but I do know that while I am in a positive frame of mind I am more focused, work harder and achieve more.

I guess this is the same with Mantras - if you believe they help you, then you will have a more positive outlook to life and this comes through in everything you do....

Well from my experience of chanting mantra and if you go through the vedas or other books, you will find millions or might be billions of mantras, as most of the devtas or devis have got more than one mantra. That's why the Iskcon came up with the Hare Krsna manta, which they reckon and which is clearly stated in the Bagavad Geeta, a compilation of all the mantra that exist into one mantra, which means by chanting this mantra means you are chanting the millions or billions mantras. However, chanting this mantra is for those who is willing to get free from this material world and join the final destination, freeing oneself from birth, death, re-birth, etc...

However, if you are looking to meet your material need the best to do, is to see which planet(s) is negatively influencing you, perform rituals to please that planet.

Another thing to consider is that if you keep changing mantra, this means you are not being faithful to one of the Devtas or God Himself. Take for example Hanuman who is always faithful to His Master Ram.

Advise to you from me would be:

      1. Be more faithful to the one you like the most, that gives you happiness and fill your heart when chanted.

      2. Imagine that the devi or devta in question is actually fulfilling all the desires, of course these should not be ignorant ones.

Further I really appreciate what you said about those asking for money as a result for helping you. I reckon these as fake, because why don't they use the formula to make money themselves. these should have been free, only when it works, a money, contribution or donation be made to that person..

From my point of view, after going through your web, it seems you are a nice person and good at heart and God will soon fulfill your penury in life..

"A mantra that is weakly said or poorly pronounced with a heavy American accent may be weak."

So are mute people just totally out of luck?

They can hear CDs and videos and the sounds spoken by others may be used to assist. But the mute would have to "ride" their thoughts on the sounds of others. Even that may help, but having good chants vibrate through your body is helpful. Someone else's chants may be powerful enough... Ironically in the shraddha mantra mentioned by Annie Besant, a priest had to perform the mantra for the dead, to free that person's astral shell.

I doubt that if a person was mute that a lot of opportunities for making wealth are there - but there may be some. Perhaps the person should focus on options available.

A better option may be the use of sigils for the purpose of wealth making.

Mantras can be chanted silently in the mind. I find them more powerful that way.

For prosperity, I also recommend using Sigil magic to influence your subconscious. You have to learn the steps from online resources after careful research.

First you can use the atonement methods I suggested above. The TNK mantra that I mentioned in my post above can also be done using flowers and lemons - but study online resources because you should not smell the flowers or have lemon juice over your hands (if you do, wash it thouroughly).

There are ways of making other objects the "scapegoat" for your negative karmas.

After you follow the steps correctly and take actions to atone (or manifest atonement) of debts via agreement, then you can move with prosperity mantras.

After a few days of these prosperity chants, try using sigils to bring in prosperity to you. Don't use the same images you use in your mantra....the purpose of a sigil is to forget it after it is banished into your subconscious. But it can be a prosperity sigil of another kind that may also help your mantra unconsciously. Just make sure that the sigil you put in does NOT clash with your mantras in any odd way...

Using good astrological/numerological times for your sigil is helpful.

The good thing about sigil magic is that you have to forget it. So you can continue with your Vedic mantra chants for something like 30-60 days to focus your will on your manifestations. The sigil is left alone in your subconscious but may secretly help your mantras by giving that extra dose of confidence from the recessed mind.

If you are using a mantra like "Thiru Neela Kantam" (TNK) - then first learn to chant it correctly and with power and pure faith. A mantra that is weakly said or poorly pronounced with a heavy American accent may be weak. Fortunately there are great videos on You Tube to learn the sound and also listen to the mantra until it soaks in your subconscious.

As noted by Annie Besant from Theosophy, shraddha mantras have to be said by a pure priest and with the correct sounds to have good effect. The pure priest here represents a confident and strong and clean version of you. So bathe, wear fresh cloths, and perform it in a clean environment that supports your will or confidence and purity.

      - Learn a little bit of horary astrology from online resources and go to and set up horoscopes under My Astro. You can use the PDF to generate planetary houses (I use both whole sign and Placidus from the extended chart selection). Making decisions and plans and chants when the Moon is strong, or the rulers of the signs in the 10th house (for career) is strong is helpful. A waxing Moon etc is also powerful. A void of course moon is to be avoided. Using an online panchang from Vedic astrology may be of value, but you need to find the right computer resources.

Having some knowledge of Chaldean numerology is helpful and you will probably want to avoid mixing numbers 4, 8 & 9 in any combination.

So....some knowledge about horoscopes and numbers are helpful in starting plans.

      The take these steps:

Step #1 - take time to write down the debts you owe people (their Egos or Souls) and to institutions. Make a table where you write down the amount YOUR Ego/Soul shall pay them in some lifetime, when convenient and proper to do so.

*Manifest this in thoughts and symbols in your mind and with your words - direct and short sentences and writing a check to the Egos involved with a general caveat that this is (a) inflation adjusted, (b)an approximate figure, and (c) may be paid in different currency forms when it is convenient for both the giver and the receiver.

For bad debts owed to banks, etc, offer a charitable gift to something like the Salvation Army, so that your monies goes towards helping the needy in positive ways. Visualize that check from your Ego to the charity you choose...

NOW - you have manifested your "atonement" of bad debts and unpaid bills. You can also offer some additional monies to good charities, with the caveats mentioned, and manifest it in "Akasha" or the ethers by will + thought + agreement + sound. Be sure to have proper caveats and understanding in all commitments, because you will be bound by it.

Step #2- take a VOW to suspend all negative karmas that block your financial prosperity from your being. Write it down and visualize the karmas being lifted by energy.

Take this vow strongly and with pure faith in a quiet spot, with sound + will + clear imagination. Do it over and over until you are confident in the truth of what you just manifested.

Step #3 - you can now use the TNK mantra 108 times daily with confidence that the atonements manifested in your mind by you have helped you balance your karma. This mantra is used to boost your confidence. Take a vow after the mantra to "achieve prosperity and success using this mantra".

Step #4 - Use positive mantras affirming your prosperity (such as Shreem, and Shreem Brzee) where you *visualize* the abundance desired in clear terms. Sound without vision may not work well. So get a good "sketch" of what you wish to really see or have.

Use the mantras 108 times daily. Again the right conditions are essential for strenghtening your will and using sound + imagination + confidence to build your manifested destiny.

Step 5 - take proper and confident steps to achieve things. If you want monies, maybe you can start a business on the side, or aim for a better job via a new resume, more polished interviewing skills, better networking, etc. Arrange for interviews and job start dates on fortunate astrological periods (and numerological periods)so you enjoy some better luck.

Step #6 - always track your plan and activities. A log is helpful and keeps you disciplined.

In the end, set reasonable goals that are not too time bound because success is achieved when opportunity exists and is grabbed.

As can be seen, it's probably better to be content with your lot rather than ask for too much. It takes a lot of work and energy to get your destiny to change. It depends on the individual - some people can manifest things quickly and easily enough and some have to work harder at it. A lot has to do with previous prep work and karmas, etc.

I agree with what Zen Master Suzuki said- I have struggled to gain wealth all my life- now I cannot even get employment and struggle to buy the basics- as my life goes on I am getting poorer and poorer. I hasten to add I am not talking about cars and material goods- I have little like that and don't aspire to live in my own house even- a flat instead of a tiny room would be nice.I'm a very spiritual person and feed wild birds, do loads of voluntary work and am an eco person. I have done many manifesting things but none work for me as yet so I assume this must be my karma- I perhaps took from others or was very greedy in one of my previous lives so this is karma playing itself out.

Maybe, Maybe Not. Zen Master Shunryu Suzuki Roshi once said "Zen can be summed up in two little words: Not always so". Ones personal karma i.e. life lessons take precedence over Universal Abundance. It sucks, but, it may not be "in the cards" for any given incarnation that abundance in massive quatities is part of the plan. Just as more is learned through failure than success, many times lack or poverty is a legitimate "life lesson" & "teaching tool" of the Inner Self. In addition, India has had these mantras for centuries, and its still a dirt-poor country, so how well do they really work?I agree that faith is an important factor in all mantra chanting and I chant "Om Brazee Namaha" but I've been working with the Law of Attraction since the early 80' via the Seth Material, The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts/Robert Butts. I ain't no millionaire, but neither am I homeless. For me "On time, in time" is a big issue. I can manifest, but can I do it in a timely fashion relative to my financial responsabilities? So far timely manifestation has been a problem for me if when I visualize & affirm "On Time, In Time". The Universe & my Inner Self are stupid so there has to be some lesson gained in the struggle to manifest in a timely fashion. After all these years I will still chant mantra but I have to take an open minded, long-view based in faith, because simply anticipating good things to happen will run you ragged if it's "not the proper time". I mean that in the maturing or harvesting sense of the word, much like fine wine needs time to mature. Who knows, for me the jury is still out. The mystic paths are long and arduous. Peace

Writerwandering: Dattatreya suggests 108 times a day.

But I have to point out that mantras don't work for everyone, though I have seen some people get great results.

The best thing to do is field test some techniques and see what works for you.

There's Wayne Dyers Ahhh meditation, Neville Goddard's thinking from the end, Napoleon Hill's techniques.

Let me put it like this...

When you go to a bookstore, you don't see just one diet book in the diet section do you?

If one diet worked for everyone, there would just be one book.

      Same with manifesting.

One technique doesn't work for everyone.

I have yet to see one fool proof technique.

If I assured I will make it known.

Hi SabreBlade, do you ever wonder with all your research if it is a question of our level of consciousness rather than the techniques? Meaning, if we can awaken ourselves to a higher level then any technique will work? Thanks for your hub and thoughts.

In the past Siva Baba (I remember him as the head scarf guru, wonderful collection of very colorful scarves)had a deal where you could send $300.00 to someplace in India and they would have someone chant the mantras for you! Part of me always questioned why someone sitting in India would do this for someone else. Why not just simply recant the mantras and pocket the change?
