The Meaning of Life: Where to Go From Here.

Updated on February 8, 2014

Why am I here?

This is a question that many of people throughout time have pondered. Looking for real meaning and purpose. Wanting more out of life than what it is they where experiencing. Have you ever felt that way? Like you where missing something and had a longing for something great but was unsure what that was or better yet where you were to find it. The longing within is a void that can be only filled with what it was intended for. To out right say that, that void was intended for God would also open that statement up to anyone's understanding of what god or whatever their higher power may be. That void that humanity was created with, is a longing that was placed there by God. This longing would better be described as a longing for TRUTH. The Truth of God.

Man and his ideas or knowledge can never amount to anything that can come close to truly the One who has been there from the beginning. To think that we argue over who is right or wrong about the concept of god or gods, and even go about questioning all these other things to reason and rationalize an excuse not to have to answer to a higher being. It seems that people will squirm and kick with everything to not have to realize/admit that they are not in control of what happens in the end or that they will be held accountable for their actions. When the time of this life is over and its time to step into eternity.

So why are we here? To be born,live for awhile, and then die?To argue who's right and who's not?

"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." Col 1:16

You and I where created for Him. Him being the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. It is His desire for us to be in relationship with the creator of all things. Once you accept Jesus Christ and are born again you become a child of God. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1: 12-13

Come To Jesus.

Man was created for fellowship with God. Jesus Christ came and made a way back to fellowship with God.When one is born again, and are spiritually awoken, you will begin to understand many new concepts that before did not make sense. Now as a born again believer you are now considered a disciple of Christ. You are now a follower of Jesus!

What it means to be a follower of Christ is that in relationship with Him, you learn from Him. Like the very disciple in the new testament that are present in the new testament gospels. As He is sitting teaching them figure that you are sitting in on the very same conversation, as one of His disciples. Pay attention even more so to the writings in red. That is if your bible shows that when Jesus spoke the lettering is in red. You should know that the entire new testament is instructions for spiritual life. Great understanding can come from spending time with God. As a new believer as you read your bible, and pray, this will be considered time that you are learning to spend with God. As He reveals Himself He will indeed teach you to hear His voice.

For know this is to be your main focus. Developing this relationship with God, by spending time reading your bible, and talking to God.

Your second focus is to learn to apply the Word of God to your life. When God speaks to you through His Word, you can say that in effect to your life, that this is so. To know that God can not lie and will not go against His word.

For example I know that in God's Word It says "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 . Now what that means applied to my life is that no matter what it is that I must go through in this life, is that it will in fact all work out as God has said it would for the good.

There are over 800 promisses in the bible for you to know and understand. Here is something I would like to encourage any one of you to do. Ask God for a promise for your life, and believe that God has one for you, and He will reveal it to you in time. Here is another one that i would like to share. "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jer 29:13 Or "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’Jer 33:3

Look at the bible like this, a gold mine waiting to be plundered, as you burrow your way into it, the greater amount of treasure you are going to find. So what i would like you to do is find the nuggets of God's word and cash them in on your life and be blessed in your relationship with God.

Let Prayer be your Pick and Time be your shovel.

This is the meaning of Life, To walk and live with God in a relationship.

Gold Nugget to see..

I just though I could share a little nugget that I received years ago. Our God is the God of covenant correct. If He said it He meant it. He is faithful to His Word.

So for starters Id like to take you to Psalms 91. Now understand that as you read this Psalm you can see a collection of protection promises. Most of you probably have prayed and refered to this Psalm. Well i'd like you to notice that in the first 13 verses that it is the psalmist speaking and then there is a transition in verse 14.

“Because he has set his love upon Me , therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”Psalm 91:14-16

Who is speaking in these Verses? The "Me" is capitalized, meaning The Lord. Notice that because of "he has set his love upon Me" God is going to do what? What next are promises. There are 7 promises and one that He even repeats twice. Why does God repeat certain things? That's right to get our attention. This is an amazing set of promises!

When we chose Jesus Christ as savior He delivers us from the darkness. Just something to think about, Hope you enjoyed, Until next time. God bless beloved of the Most High God.
