Who Are The Men In Black?

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not be talked about here, just so you know. However, I will be talking about the real MIB (Men In Black). Yes, MIB exist. They’ve been around since the 1950’s. They show up whenever any kind of UFO sightings are witnessed or reported. When they do show up, they claim to be a special branch of the government (which turns out to be false) and threaten people to keep their silence about the possible UFO sightings that they have experienced. The question that comes to mind when it happens is, how do they know which people had the sighting and how do the MIB know these people have had such an experience?

Here is how an encounter with the Men In Black usually goes. Right after a UFO sighting has occurred, MIB usually comes for the person who says they saw a UFO. Their goal is to collect and keep hidden any evidence such as pictures or video footage of any possible extraterrestrial sighting. UFO enthusiasts believe the MIB are either CIA, FBI, or from the AIr Force, since they present identification. What is peculiar is when later verified, the persons they say they are either don’t exist, have been dead for a while, or are different people. They also claim from time to time to be photographers or insurance sales representative, which wouldn’t relate to the subject of UFO sightings. They usually travel in a group of 3-5 men. They also seem to have an abundant amount of information about the person they’re coming after, as if that individual has been under watch by them for years. What’s odd is people seem to think that these Men In Black are aliens themselves, and when you hear a description of their appearance, they just might be. The other explanation is that they are being controlled by aliens.

They appear in a black suit, with a black tie, black hat, black socks, and black sunglasses (after all, they are the Men In Black). They wear the same thing at night with their sunglasses still on. When witnessed, clothing is said to be made from strange material. Their movements have been described as robotic with a very monotoned and mechanical speech (just like how you hear an alien talks in movies). They’re described as having very pale skin and, witnesses have said, glowing eyes. Either they are very tall or very short. Their faces are eerily expressionless and have no facial hair, or eyebrows. They are also bald. Their choice of vehicle is usually a black Buick, Cadillac, or Lincoln from the early 90’s or from the 80’s with no plates. Oddly though, the car looks as if it were in brand new, mint condition.

People have also reported that these Men In Black are at the same time very confused and amazed about the environment that is around them. It’s difficult for them to use simple items such as a pen or eating utensils. Their sentence structure and choice of words is very strange as well. They use outdated slang terms from time periods around the 18th and 19th centuries. When you see them, you can tell that they’re obviously unfamiliar with the body that they are in, having a difficult time moving around.

In 1953, publisher Albert K. Bender was one of the first men to come in contact with the Men In Black. He was claiming that he knew the secret behind UFO’s but was threatened by three MIBs not to reveal it. On an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, a man named Ray Muniz had gotten a UFO sighting on tape. The next day, he was approached by them with a summons from internal revenue services. He looked at the letter for a few seconds, and when he looked up, the MIB were gone. He said they didn’t have time to walk away or get into a car. Ray hurried to the address that was on the summons, where he encountered another man in black. He gave his papers and tax information to the man and the conversation went like this. “Thank you, you can leave now.” “Excuse me?” Thank you, you can leave now.” “Aren’t you going to look at my papers?” “No, you can leave now.” When he got back home, his home had been raided by them, looking for the tape. They didn’t find it and Ray said he had hidden it.

Men In black have been said to be two things. Either they really are government agents, or they are aliens themselves. Either way, they both have the same goal in mind. To take away any proof of UFO’s or extraterrestrial life. The question remains, who are they really? The mystery of the Men In Black, continues.

Until a few days ago when my sister started telling me about them, I hadn't given much thought to the Men in Black (even though I've seen the movie countless times, haha). From the descriptions they seem too inhuman to be anything but aliens themselves.

Enjoyed the hub, and video. I used to watch reruns of Unsolved Mysteries every afternoon. Good, good show.
