Mr. Caviezel was struck by lightning, while actually on the cross and suffers no injuries, the reports also bring to light. Mr. Caviezel’s testimony in the same report reveals that he has been changed as a result of playing Jesus in the film and that people should put their faith in Christ every day, pray and fast. In one interview report on the 700 Club website, Mr. Caviezel talks about how the physical demands and physical pain of playing the role of Jesus actually forced him to have to pray to carry out the roles of the character in the film.
Also, assistant director Jan Michelini was the film’s other crew member who was struck by lightning twice, earning the nickname in the media as “Lightning Boy,” suffering only light finger burns as a result, according to reports.
