The New Tower Of Babel
The Tower of Babel
A History Lesson
For those of you that have no clue as to what the Tower of Babel is, I will explain before I make my point.
If you have a Bible open it to the first book, which is the Book of Genesis. It was after the great flood in which Noah built the ark. All the people were of one language and if you read chapter 11, verses 1-9 it explains the tower quite well. Here are those verses cut and copied from Biblos
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
I am wondering if the picture above is a picture of the new Tower of Babel.
All nations and languages have been able to come together through the internet.
Children are learning other customs, religions, and beliefs. The computer has become a baby sitter.
The gunk and junk that our youth are seeing on the world-wide web has them confused about the truth.
Is the internet the "beast" spoke of in the Bible describing the end times?
It is written that in the end times there will be many false prophets and teachers. Just the other day I ran across a web site that claimed that yesterday would be the rapture:
The Bible clearly says that no man will know the day or the time of Jesus' return.
For those of you that are using the internet to spread lies and deceit, you will have to answer to Almighty God someday.
I feel led to use this "new" Tower of Babel to spread the Truth.
Mankind needs to know that God is real; that Jesus is real; that the Holy Spirit is real. Mankind needs to know that Heaven is real and so is Hell.
I do think that the internet is our new Tower of Babel, so please keep track of your children. Spend time in the Word of God with them and teach them to ask and check the Word before just believing anything they see or hear on the internet.
There are many Spirit filled web sites and blogs, but there also many evil filled ones too. Many of them come on the screen in beauty and they seem good but are teaching lies.
Do you think that if the good you do out-weighs the bad that you will go to heaven? If you do, you are wrong.
It is written that no man is good enough to go to heaven. We have all sinned and we all deserve death and Hell. There is only one way; through the Grace and Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit through a virgin named Mary. He lived a sinless life and was crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of man. The only thing to do to gain that Grace and Mercy is to believe in and accept Jesus into your heart. By doing so, you will be led by the Holy Spirit to lead a life filled with God's love. Man may think of you as a "freak", but is your life about living for what the guy next to you thinks? Wouldn't you rather worry about what God thinks?
There are many religions and factions. Check there motives; do they trust Jesus? Do they believe that the Bible is true and infallible?
If you have ever gambled in your life, I must tell you that Jesus has the best odds. Any other way is like betting the horse with a broken leg running in a 2 mile long race; the horse has no chance.
I lived a life full of sin and misery. I still screw up at times, but I know that Jesus has me in His arms. You can be there too. Scroll down and say the prayer. God loves you; Jesus loves you and I love you too and want to see all men and women partake in the goodness He has blessed me with. Scroll down and see the prayer that I prayed; is this the day you want to be welcome in Heaven? The prayer will get you there if it is said and believed with sincerity.
Prayer to Enter Heaven
I ask your forgiveness and mercy for the sin I have lived.
I trust your Word and know that you gave your only begotten Son as a sacrifice for my sins.
I thank you for the life you have blessed me with and I ask that you would now fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me new life in You.
Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for me. I thank you for rising from the grave and defeating death to show us that we too, could have new life in You.
I claim your Grace and Mercy and I ask you guide my steps, my speech and all other things I do from this point forward.
Thank you my savior.
I pray all of this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
If you just prayed this prayer, please know that you won't suddenly get riches or the stresses of life won't suddenly go away. If you study the Word (The Bible) you will deal with those stresses in better ways.
Do you have questions? Feel free to contact me through hub pages or just comment and I will try to answer them for you.
If you just prayed the prayer, I will guarantee one sure thing if you were honest with it--You are now in the Book of Life and we will spend eternity together.
Thank you for reading and for those of you that disagree, that is your right. That is why God gives us freewill.
If you have any prayer requests please post or send them to me and I will. That is my job is to pray. God does listen; sometimes He doesn't answer right away and sometimes He says no for our own good, but He does listen.
God bless you and have a Great day!
