The Ouija Board - Secrets Revealed

The Ouija Board - Secrets Revealed is the continuation in a series of hubs in which I discuss my life of rebellion, dabbling in the Occult, drugs, crime and prison to life-changing conversion through Jesus Christ. Click here to read it from the beginning. In this hub, I discuss the spirits and power behind the Ouija Board that impacted my life in such an adverse way, as covered by my last hub, The Ouija Board - An Avenue of Evil.

Sinister Deception

When I began playing with the Ouija Board, I was told that I would come into contact with a variety of spirits. These could be departed spirits of the dead or possibly even a demon. You never actually knew what you were going to get; and, of course, nobody really wanted a demon. However, the truth is far more sinister than that. That is because there is no such thing as departed spirits of the dead. Therefore, all of the spirits one comes into contact with through the medium of the Ouija Board are demonic.

This is how people are drawn into playing with the Ouija Board. I mean, who would knowingly play with a device that exposes them to the influence of fallen angels? I don't think I would have started playing with the Ouija Board had I known that was really the case. Moreover, this is why people experience so much mischief after playing with the Ouija Board.

The Truth About Spirits

It wasn't until I started studying the Bible that I discovered the truth about spirits and the Ouija Board. You see, the Bible teaches that spirits of the dead cannot communicate with the living:

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. - Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 (KJV)

Notice how the above text mentions that they have no "portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." In other words, they have no connection to our realm of existence. The reason behind this is because the dead are unconscious in their graves. The Bible calls this a sleep:

But man dies and is laid away; indeed he breathes his last and where is he? As water disappears from the sea, and a river becomes parched and dries up, so man lies down and does not rise. Till the heavens are no more, they will not awake nor be roused from their sleep. - Job 14:10-12 (NKJV)

The dead stay unconscious in their graves until the judgment of God, which decides their fate; and 2 Timothy 4:1 (KJV) says that the judgment will not be executed until the return of Jesus Christ, stating, "... the Lord Jesus Christ, ... shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom".

The Ouija Board is a dangerous medium for evil spirits. Those who believed they are talking to their grandma or JFK, or whatever, are only being deceived. It is only by knowing what the Bible teaches about this matter that one can be safeguarded from this deception. Psychics fall under the same category, as well; which is what my next hub will be about. I will also discuss why the Ouja Board and psychics get their predictions right some of the time. Karthikkash - The Holy Spirit is excluded. He is definitely not a demon. I agree. Blessings.

Actually, I don't completely agree when you say that there are no spirits, but just demons, just because Bible said so (sorry, but spirits do exist. In fact if you remember, you do say "The Holy spirit/holy ghost"). And there are reasons why when some people die, they become stuck in a limbo without having the deliverance. They become ghosts. Anyways, that is a different discussion.

I do agree that whatever that comes out from the Ouija board may not be a ghost, but could be a demon. Knowing that demons are very powerful beings, they could easily move into different dimensions. Also, it may be foolish to assume that we can summon the ghost of JFK or Lincoln or whoever. You may be (just may be as in a fraction of 1:1,000) able to summon a ghost. There is no saying whether it is a good or bad spirit, or your granny. There is also no saying whether it is a demon or just a ghost. God forbid, if it is a demon, you are quite screwed (ghosts may not be all that powerful to throw things at you). So, it is better not to dabble with stuff unless you are quite capable of handling it.

Definitely, an interesting read.. Voted up!!

Rayne123 - I agree with you that there are no human spirits beyond the grave. God bless.

Yes the bible teaches us about false prophecies. Magicians fall under that category.

Once again as far as the ouija board goes, if you believe it, I dont think that the evil is actually coming from using the board, it comes from believing that is where it comes from.

This is an easy manipulation for the devil/satan.

I dont believe in card readers and those that talk beyond the grave.

Those spirits are gone and the real help is the unseen that is in spirit today.

Its good that the departed dead can't communicate with the living. They are lieing in their graves sleeping-not conscious. It would be scary if the dead-who died before could cause trouble for the living! I would hope that the dead wouldn't be able to harm the living=and they shouldn't be able to communicate with the living in any way. Great hub and very interesting.

      Good morning X-Con.

Very true. I know people who played with this demonic creation as if it were a toy in the seventies and it brought nothing but trouble.

      God bless you.
