The Perfect Christian, Is it possible?

Updated on February 4, 2015

We are talking the talk, but are we walking like our Saviour?

I'm sorry but I find it very hard to keep my mindset on the Lord. I mean there are so many things that distract me, I actually can't believe how the enemy has filled this world with so many distractions. You know all the distractions, television, radio, Internet, money, debt, etc.

What if we lived in the time of Jesus? Would we have any distractions? Not near as many I'm sure. What if we lived in the 19th century? The same. Let's just admit to ourselves that in today's world, it is the hardest time to live Christ-like than ever before.

Well, how can we live like Jesus in this day and time you ask? First, let's pray more. The bible says to pray without ceasing, don't you think that would be a good place to start? Prayer is our direct connection to God through Jesus our Savior.

Secondly, we must turn away from the pleasures of this world. Turn the television off, put forth an effort to draw your family closer together. There are dozens of things that we could turn off besides the television, use your imagination.

Finally, we should read the Bible more because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The more faith we receive, the more we will want to be like Jesus.

Putting forth a heartfelt effort to become more like Jesus, will bring forth a lot of challenges. The apostle Paul wrote that the more he tried to do good, the more evil was there against him. As long as we try to do god's will, we will be rewarded one day in heaven. Just remember this, we are saved by grace not of works.

My hope is that there will be a great revival soon, that will bring millions to know Jesus as their saviour and will rekindle the desire of many defeated Christians to become more like their savior and that will lead to a better world to live in. I know this could happen if we as Christians have enough faith.

Are we as Christians doing enough for the Lord? Are we witnessing to the lost? Are we having mercy on the poor?

Jesus could return at any moment to gather his church in the rapture. We are to be found faithful and doing his will.

May God Bless You!

Christians and Catholics do sinned every day even though they had confessed their sins in the big box on very weekends. They are just erasing the bad deeds and performing more bad deeds than good deeds. I guess that is life

      Good morning paulburchett.

Very well said. People need less of the idiot box and more of the Bible, prayer and fellowship in their lives.

      God bless you.
