The Right Hand Man

Updated on June 27, 2018

Right Hand

God exists in three persons: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the right hand man of God. He does the Father's will. He is the savior that everyone needs and that everyone has. He sits at the right of God the Father for all eternity and is part of the incredible Godhead.

Often times we depend on someone that we can trust and count on completely and we refer to that person as our right hand man. We know we can depend on that person to do what is in our best interest at all times. That someone has our back in every situation. That person is someone you would trust with your life and beyond any measure. In some ways they actually become part of our purpose and commitment. They can assist us in the manifestation of our responsibility, utility and usefulness. We know ahead of time that we can trust this person in every sense. Ultimately Jesus becomes the right hand man for each and every one of us. He is God's right hand man and He is our right hand man. Could there ever be a bigger blessing than that? We are able to lean on Him knowing all the time that He is there for us and will never turn away from us. He loves us so very much. He has our back at all times. He holds us up when we are in times of turmoil, tragedy, despair, disease and hopelessness. With Him in our corner and as our right hand we can be assured that we will always have hope. It is a love, commitment and a hope that no one else can ever give us. We rely on Him to take our sin from us and to provide eternal life for us. He is always there for us and never lets us down even when we let ourselves down. He is our right hand man in every way imaginable.

So if He is always there for us shouldn't we always be there for Him. He loves us so much and we need to show Him that we also love Him. He is after all our great right hand man. He wants us to love each other and be kind to one another. He tells the apostles that they showed Him love and they ask Him when did we do those things? He answers when you have done it to the least of you then you have done it for Me. Once again His agape love is on display in every way each and every day.

Here are some verses on the right hand:

Luke 22:69 Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.

Mark 16:19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.

Acts 2:32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father and the Holy Spirit, He poured out this you now see and hear.

Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into Heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, "Look ! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

Romans 8:34 It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who even is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

God bless always.
