Where are you going in life? Most people have an idea of where they want to go; they just don't know how to get there. Three things make it difficult; one is lack of opportunity, another is lack of ability or talent, and still another and probably the biggest roadblock is lack of money.
Opportunities don't knock on your door very often. Most of the time you must look for opportunities that might help you on the way to your desired destination. This takes motivation, and people are often motivated by the thought of what would make them happy. When you have an idea of what happiness is, then you should do your best to make it happen.
Most people are just average with no special abilities or talents. Therefore, they must try harder to get where they want to go in life. This will take extra effort, but if you want something bad enough, you will find a way. Sometimes when people encounter roadblocks, they get discouraged; but instead they should try to find alternate routes to where they want to go.
You get an opportunity, develop some skills, and you're on your way. But then, at almost every turn, a need for money arises before you can advance. Unless you are rich or have someone who can help you financially, this is the roadblock that is the most difficult to get around. Why does this always present a problem to so many people? The problem is that too much emphasis is placed on money, and not enough on helping people get where they want to go in life.
When did money become so important? The importance of money has evolved through the years, becoming more and more necessary to reaching goals. Everyone wants to be rich and the lack of money causes almost everything to slow down or stop.
For example, here we are in America, the richest country in the world, and yet many are poor. Many are homeless and starving, and many are suffering because they can't afford medical help. Even in America, making any real progress in life seems to be very difficult without money.
Many people create the roadblock known as lack of money. They do that by placing too much importance on money and what it can buy. That is because they want to be happy, and they believe that money can buy happiness. The problem is that people who are unhappy cannot buy true happiness. So how does one become truly happy?
Can anyone be happy if they are selfish and don't care about others? No, you should care equally about yourself and others. In addition, you should have positive thoughts about yourself and others, and life in general. If you don't, then having money is not going to help you, and you will remain unhappy.
Having money should be secondary to caring about yourself and others, and having a positive attitude toward life. Then money becomes not a means to true happiness, but just a means to enhancing true happiness. When you follow this philosophy, the lack of money is no longer a roadblock.
The roadblock to happiness is not lack of money. It is the negative emotions we have about ourselves, other people, and life. You should find and develop positive emotions to replace any negative counterparts that you may have. Doing this may help you to become happy and successful. Still, people often wonder what lies at the end of the road. Being happy is great, but why does the road eventually end for everyone?
You should enjoy your life, but at the end of your life you encounter another roadblock. No matter who you are, how rich you are, or how positive you are, there will be a roadblock at the end of your life. This is where so many people differ in their beliefs about why the road ends and what happens next. Actually, the end is like a crossroads; and some believe in the road that takes us to a grave where we are inactive. Others believe in the other road that takes us to a different form of life.
Most people believe that death is not a roadblock. Some believe that death is the end, and that those who die will never live again. Most believe death is just a doorway to a different form of life. There are many different beliefs about the next life, but only one of these is true? The implication of most beliefs is that humans are immortal, and they don't really die, but will always live in some form.
If people are immortal, then why do they die in the first place? Does it matter if they commit sins or not during their lifetimes? People die because they are imperfect; they are imperfect because they have a sinful nature and commit sins. Therefore, they are not immortal.
If people are not immortal, do they die without the possibility of living again? Many people who don't believe in God think that we die and never live again. Many believe that our souls drift off into the spirit world. Others believe that people who die will eventually get rewarded for good behavior, or punished for bad behavior.
If our souls live on, that would imply that we don't really die. And if we don't really die, then who rewards people or punishes them? The truth is that God will reward some with eternal life, and punish others; they will lose their lives for eternity.
God created human beings to be perfect. The problem is that we became sinful, and that makes us imperfect. But God has given us a way to become perfect and live eternally. To find the way, you must overcome the roadblock known as sin. Each of us has a sinful nature that prevents us from having eternal life. It is the reason for death, and if you want to live again and live eternally, God must forgive you for the sins you commit.
How can you be forgiven for your sins? Human beings die as a result of their sinful nature; this is the first death from which everyone will be resurrected. Many will then be punished for the sins they had committed, unless God has forgiven them. The punishment for those not forgiven is death; this will be the second death, from which they will never live again. But God has a plan for those who want to be forgiven for their sins, and have eternal life.
God does not want us to die. He wants us to live eternally in peace and happiness. Therefore, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. Jesus was innocent, but He suffered and died for our sins. He was crucified; then He was resurrected and returned to Heaven. Someday He will return and take all His followers to Heaven.
The roadblock of sin can be removed. If you believe in Jesus as your savior, your sins will be forgiven. Then after you die, you will be resurrected and no longer have a sinful nature; and you will live in peace and happiness for eternity.
In Summary, where do you want to go in life? Do you know how to get there? Many believe that the roadblock they most often face is lack of money. But too much emphasis is placed on money because so many believe it will make them happy. True happiness can be found by caring about people, and having a positive attitude about life. When we realize that, then lack of money is no longer a roadblock.
Although you may find happiness, you know that the road will end someday. But the end is like a crossroads. Some believe in the road that takes us to a grave where we are inactive. Others believe in the road that takes us to a different form of life. Most believe that death is not a roadblock but a doorway to a new life, which implies that humans are immortal. But if we are immortal, then why do we die? We have a sinful nature and commit sins, and we die: therefore, we are not immortal.
Many believe that after we die we never live again. Others believe that our souls drift off into the spirit world. Some believe that we eventually get rewarded for good behavior, or punished for bad behavior. If that is true, then who rewards us or punishes us. God will reward some with eternal life, and He will punish others; they will lose their lives for eternity.
God created us to be perfect, but because we have a sinful nature, we are imperfect. But God has given us a way to become perfect and have eternal life. To do that you must overcome the roadblock known as sin. Your sinful nature prevents you from having eternal life. Therefore, if you want to live eternally, God must forgive you for the sins you have committed.
People die because of their sinful nature; this is the first death. Everyone will be resurrected from this death, and many will be punished for the sins they had committed, unless God has forgiven them. The punishment for those not forgiven is the second death, from which they will never live again.
God wants us to live eternally in peace and happiness. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for our sins. After Jesus was crucified, He was resurrected and returned to Heaven. Jesus is our savior and if you believe in Him, your sins will be forgiven; and even though you die, you will be resurrected. Then you will no longer have a sinful nature; you will be perfect and live eternally in peace and happiness.
From the Bible:
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans, Chapter 3, Verse 23)
You will show me the path of life; and I will be filled with joy in your presence, and at your right hand there are eternal pleasures. (Psalm, Chapter 16, Verse 11)
