The Secret of my Manifestations, Get Happy to Be Happy
Come On, Get Happy
This is my fourth hub in a series on manifesting, and possibly the most important. When you are deliberately attracting, you need to do it from a happy place. You actually have to get happy, to be happy. You have to monitor your emotions and keep them positive, so that happiness can embrace you. Being happy should be your ultimate quest. I know this sounds self-centered or selfish and bridles against the way most of us were raised. It does not mean please yourself at the expense of others, nor does it mean to abandon your responsibilities. I doubt you could leave your family in need and still be truly happy. It does mean following your bliss. It does mean finding work that is a pleasure or find pleasure in your work. It does mean leaving situations that bring nothing but negative emotions. This could even go as far as switching jobs. You may find however, if you change your emotion first the negative circumstances around you vanish. Negative people may start avoiding you. Distasteful tasks may be assigned else where.
When in the presence of angry or pessimistic people, don’t get sucked in. Say to yourself, “That is their reality, their story. That is their perception. I have my own.”
Water Off A Duck’s Back
If you are feeling negative emotions: guilt, fear, or anger you are attracting from that place. You, therefore, are attracting more things to anger you or scare you. The law of attraction states that like attracts like. This is why when you get up on the wrong side of the bed, things go from bad to worse. When you catch yourself in a bad mood choose to fix it quick. It really is your choice. No one can make you feel guilty, make you angry, or make you cry. Only you can make yourself feel anything, so if its bad, stop! Let it roll off you, like water off a duck's back.
Find Your Happy Place
Some people have a hard time letting go of their negative emotions. The negative emotions may be giving you a reward of some kind. You may have to decide to be happy in leu of being right, being pitied, or being coddled. There are probably as many ways to jump start a happy mood as there are people on the planet. When I catch myself in a dark mood, these are some of my favorite quick fixes:
- listening to music
- reading inspirational quotes
- watching comedy
- petting puppies
- playing with small children
- holding a baby
- staring at a photograph that always makes you smile
- calling an upbeat friend
- doing something nice for someone else
- soaking in a tub
- looking at art
- experiencing nature
- replaying intensely happy moments in your mind
- making a list of things you are grateful for
To stop the pull of negativity in your life, you must switch your focus from the things you are lacking:
- I’m poor
- I'm mate-less
- I'm friendless
To your wants:
- I want abundance
- I want a wonderful mate
- I want new exciting friends
The Bottom Line
Any step in a positive direction will help. If you are angry and can move yourself up to irritated, you’ve made progress. Just keep taking these steps in the positive direction. With practice you’ll be able to change your emotions as fast as a two year old. My young children have this amazing ability to go from wailing to smiling in mere minutes. If they can do it, we can do it. When we give up feeling bad we start going with the flow. When we are in the flow, abundance flows to us. So the bottom line is, find your happy place so abundance can find you.
