PlanksandNails' goal is to be a catalyst in encouraging the followers of Christ to pursue Biblical truth for themselves.

Before you read any further, please go to The Call of God in His Seven Thunders - Part 1, which is meant to precede this article.

Thunder 3 in Exodus

The third thunder of God was heard in the book of Exodus after Moses came down from Mount Sanai to prepare (sanctify) the people for the coming voice of God.

He said to the people, "Be ready by the third day. Don't have sexual relations with a woman." - Exodus 19:15

Moses was saying to abstain from sexual relations to attend to the things of God. This verse will become more significant as it is symbolic and has spiritual significance to the fifth thunder in Revelation 14:4 that will be clarified further on.

And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. – Exodus 19:16

The people of God were standing before the mountain anticipating an exciting event to happen.

Can you imagine being there watching this unfold as thunder and lightning with a thick cloud, a loud trumpet sound or voice, and smoke as the the presence of God descended down the mountain with fire and quaking?

I don’t know about you, but that would put the fear of God into anyone.

Mount Sinai, all it, smoked, because Yahweh descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice. – Exodus 19:18-19

Although this would seem to be a terrifying and fearful event, it was not about His judgement, but preparing God's people for reconciliation back to Him. This event is about ceasing the man-made works of 'vegetation' that God cursed in Genesis out of their lives. The people prepared themselves by consecrating themselves by washing their garments in preparation to meet God. This is symbolic of the true believer of Christ who have chosen to change their garments and come into right standing by being consecrating to God’s plan and purposes. Today, there are people who have chosen to submit themselves to the curse of 'vegetative' covering of their own making, but this will not bring them salvation.

Christ is the grace that exchanges our soiled garments for His garment of grace. It is the cleanliness that only He can give that can make us into something that has no spot, stain or wrinkle.

And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. – Revelation 8:5

The Third Thunder in Revelation

The third thunder in the book of Revelation is the continuation of judgement of God. It is a picture of one-third of the earth (vegetation) destroyed. It is not only the physical implications to consider, but the spiritual also. The censer of fire, thunder, lightnings and earthquake is similar in nature in Exodus 19:16-19.

Yahweh will judge all that alienates itself from Him. There are two choices, consecration to God through Christ, or Judgement. Reconciliation, consecration and redemption through Christ is part of God’s plan and purpose for today.

Are you living your life wrapped up in the cursed 'soil,' or are you consecrated into the body of Christ?

Thunder 4 in Exodus

When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice. Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up. – Exodus 19:19-20

The word 'voice,' which is [6963 qowl] (kole) in Hebrew means thunder in this verse.

God came down to the earth from heaven and calls Moses to the top of Mount Sanai. Moses is a representation and symbolic of the people of God that will meet Him 'face-to-face.' This event can be paralleled with the return of Christ who will come down from heaven in his Father's glory and set foot on the mountain as a Mighty Conqueror.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives – Zechariah 14:4

When we meet Christ face-to-face there will no longer be anything that separates us from the Father. This event will be of greater magnificence than what Moses experienced. The fourth thunder of God signifies restored fellowship with our Maker and no longer being alienated from His magnificent presence. The harlot church system that continues to empower the traditions of man will be brought to shame. Christ is the only one who can cut you off from the root of sin that is deeply entrenched in the cursed ground of this world. He wants to graft you into the Tree of Life. Those who willfully embrace and empower sin will never make it to the top to meet God 'face-to-face.'

The process of having our roots firmly planted in Christ is about making him King of kings and Lord of lords in every part of your life and by the Holy Spirit overcoming the power of sin that enslaves us. Where sin is enabled, empowered and enabled, the Holy Spirit is negated and the genuine Gospel is replaced with another gospel and another Christ of man's own making. When we become dead to sin, Christ becomes the life giving spirit within our lives. Our walk in the way of Christ is ultimately a procession up the mountain to meet the Father because we have obtained right standing with Him through Christ.

God wants to have face-to-face conversations with us. Your Pastor, Prophet, Priest or any other supposed mediator cannot do this for you. God wants you to approach Him and to hear His thunderous voice. He is calling you.

Are you willing to embrace the genuine Christ or continue with the religious imitations?

Are you ready to heed his call?

The fourth thunder in the Old Testament is an example of Moses heeding God's voice. It is also applies to us today to hear God's call also. It is about sharing the Good News of the Gospel and encouraging those to come near to Christ. Once we accept Christ as our Saviour, we must allow him via the Holy Spirit to follow his example by abiding in the principles of the Kingdom of God.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. – 2 Corinthians 3:18

The Fourth Thunder in Revelation

The fourth thunder in Revelation is about the wrath of God who judges the dead, but also about God’s faithful servants receiving their reward.

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. – Revelation 11:18

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. – Revelation 11:19

In a spiritual sense, we are temples of the Holy Spirit. When the temple is opened others will see Christ also. When they see Christ, they will also see the Father. The call of the genuine body of Christ is to make more disciples of Christ who covey the principles of the Kingdom of God. Christ is the builder of his ekklesia who are people who have heeded the thunder of God. They are born again believers having being made into His likeness and image.

Grafted to the Tree of Life
Grafted to the Tree of Life

The fruit of spiritual maturity is seen by those who abide in the word of God having been refined in the fire and grafted into the Tree of Life. Spiritual maturity will have nothing to do with the religious tare systems and their false doctrines. The harlot church system cannot sanctify anyone to live on the mountain of God even though they claim to. Their antichrist doctrine enables those to continue to wallow in the cursed 'soil' and 'vegetation' of this fallen world. We cannot be used by Christ for the Gospel of the Kingdom unless we are born again being obedient to his commands.

Are you partaking of the antichrist religious system, or have you been transformed into the image of Christ?

Satan does not want believers in Christ to grow into full maturity. The Gospel may be heard and sown, but the devil often comes to destroy the seed that is sown in people’s hearts.

When the seed of Christ is sown and fully matures, there is a glorious manifestation that can produce thirty, sixty and a hundred fold from the same seed. What is sown of Christ produces the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The true Gospel is not only about maturing in Him, but also about birthing life into others also.

The harlot church system produces soiled robes, but the genuine Bride of Christ will be the ones who are allowed at the Wedding Feast because they are wearing their garments (right standing) of grace. They are the ones who did not negate the power of the Holy Spirit to cleanse their lives and have remained alert for the call.

Those who are asleep in the pews believe that that their four-walled templates called 'church' and the traditions of man are a means to attain God. Sadly, they are deceived.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. - Revelation 18:4

The true followers of Christ are commanded to come out of the harlot system.

Wake up! come out of her and hear the voice of God through Christ who is calling you to prepare yourself before it is too late.

The fourth thunder of God is about intimacy with Him and heeding his voice. It is about the glory that is revealed to the world through an encounter with Him. It is about the experience of being summoned and caught up where Christ is and meeting our Father 'face-to-face.'

Thunder 5 in Exodus

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. – Exodus 20:18

The fifth thundering was about God’s people refusing to remove their alienation from Him. They stood far off instead of wanting to be part of God’s glory. The result was God implementing the ceremonial laws and its ordinances.

And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces that ye sin not. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. – Exodus 20:19-21

Can you see what is happening?

Moses has said to the people, 'fear not,' but what did they do?

They stood far off instead. God’s voice was not just calling to Moses, but to all of his people.

In the harlot church system today, the masses want their Teachers, Pastors and Prophets to meet God for them. God wants each one of us to be like Moses by heeding God's thunderous voice and meeting Him where He is. By attempting to have your Pastor go up the mountain for you gets you nowhere as religious masses stand far off from God’s plans and purposes.

God wants all of His people to meet Him and to come the top of the mountain. When they come down, they will minister and preach the Gospel of reconciliation that only comes through Christ. It is not just about the mountain top experience, but continuing to walk with Him on a daily basis being separate from the temporal things of this world. The harlot church system has become syncretistic with the things that come from the cursed ground because they are rooted in, conformed and run by the traditions of man.

God wants you to hear His thunderous voice for yourself, not through some church hireling. God wants you to meet Him face-to-face and let His glory shine in and through you so that you can impart life to others. The only people that will go the top of the mountain are the ones who are willing to respond to Him. There are many who have failed to meet God because they rely on religious men to do it for them. It is only God that can impart His glory, but it requires initiative on our part to repent of our counterfeit substitutions that we have partaken of to attain salvation.

Are you letting others hear God for you?

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. – Matthew 7:22-23

The Fifth Thunder in Revelation

The fifth thunder in the book of Revelation parallels the fifth thunder in the book of Exodus. It is about division. It is about the ones who have heeded His call and the ones who have chosen to stand far off and be spectators.

And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. – Revelation 14:2-4

There is a song being played for this occasion, and cannot be learned except for those who are of the 144,000. Just like the number 7, 144,000 also has spiritual significance also. We must remember that they both have physical and spiritual implications in fulfillment of prophecy. The physical and spiritual manifestations are God’s communicated plan. The 144,000 are the ones who were not defiled with their women.

Do you remember when Moses told the people to do in preparation for God?

“And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.” - Exodus 19:15

Could this also be symbolic of those in the harlot church system who have not prepared themselves for the coming of Christ in his Father's glory because they have defiled themselves with the traditions of man standing afar off with soiled garments?

And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. – Revelation 14:5

This verse brings up an important question,

Who, by God’s standards are found to be with no guile and fault before His throne?

It is the people of God, those among the ekklesia who did not walk on their own merit, but were the ones who were continually abiding in Christ. They are the called out ones who are found without spot or blemish. They are the product of Christ who have the the fruit of righteousness and the seal of God.

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. - Revelation 14:7-8

The harlot church system that is rooted in the traditions of man will be separated from God. They are the people who have chosen to remain aloof by not heeding the call of the thunderous voice of God. They have intermingled with the mystery religions of Babylon, incorporated them and have justified it as genuine worship to God. God sees them as an abomination and they will be judged for it.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. – Revelation 14:9-11

The people of God will have His seal on their foreheads, but the people of Babylon will have the mark of the Beast.

And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. –Revelation 14:14

And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. – Revelation 14:17

There will be two gatherings. One for the followers of Christ, and the others are of the 'vine of the earth' who will face the wrath of God’s judgement. The sickle will be swung twice and the wheat will be separated from the tares.

We must contend for the true and genuine Gospel as many need to wake up out of their spiritual slumber before it is too late.

Are you willing to stand firm on truth and heed God's voice?

Christ is coming to take claim His Bride and the rest will face God's wrath.

Please continue on and read: The Call of God in His Seven Thunders - Part 3 that leads to the finale of seven thunders of God.

God bless.
