The Shield Around Me

Updated on February 14, 2010

To the LORD I cry aloud

Psalm 3:1-4

 O LORD, how many are my foes!
       How many rise up against me!

 Many are saying of me,
       "God will not deliver him."
       Selah [a]

 But you are a shield around me, O LORD;
       you bestow glory on me and lift [b] up my head.

 To the LORD I cry aloud,
       and he answers me from his holy hill.

As we walk this walk we will find that our travels bring us across so many mountains to cross, so many roads to travel. As we go on we can cry out to the Lord for He will go with us and better yet He will go before us to lead us into safety. Oh how God has kept me from things that could have really hurt me, and He has gone before me as I myself travel this road of the unknown, the unknown of what our lives hold..only God can deliver us through the storms of life and He can bring us out the other side claiming victory. I long for victories in Him.

How many times have we all cried out oh GOD "how many are my foes". How many times have we heard God will not deliver us. It seems the things we go through will make us stronger when their over with. The mountains we climb in this lifetime will fall, when they fall the victory is ours and the Glory is Gods. Amen to that.

I have mountains that still need to be knocked down. God will make them fall in His time. He will get the glory, no matter how long it takes..For His ways are Truth and He has already won the war.

      One thing that God keeps telling me, is that I am not a grasshopper and there are no giants in his kingdom. There is absolutly no problem that is to big for him. Everything is in his time. Victory is on the way.

      Great hub, jesusmyjoy. Thanks for the encouragement. I agree with Sis. Emily Sims, the good thing to remember about our mountains, is that God is bigger than them, and they never ever last forever. Remind your mountain that God moves them out of the way through our faith in Him.

      Good Morning my sis. in Christ Betty, just a little of encouragment for you today. God has a plan to take every adversity, every hardship you are going through and use it - not to beat you down and make your life miserable Betty. NO. God's dream for you Betty is to take that difficulty and supernaturally turn it around and use it to bring you,Betty, good. He will use these tough times to bring you out stronger, moremature, and prepared for promotion! Goodness, mercy and unfailing love,Betty, are God's plan for you! Betty you may ot understand everything that's going on in your life right now, bit I encourage you, Betty,to keep your head held high. Know that God is working in your life. God is going to turn things around in your favor. If God is for you Betty, who can be against you? Greater is HE that is you, than he that is in the world. 1John 4:2 KJV

      For HE is the source of our strength, and the power that moves us. Betty be blessed and leave your problems to the Lord thy God
