The Voice Within You

Updated on May 21, 2013

Ever experienced driving along a super foggy road sans your fog lights (on)? To make matters worse, you're driving at night. I bet a lot of thoughts come flashing over your head saying, Stop! or go slow, or go fast or turn right, turn left and the list continues. Don't you think your experience would be a lot, lot better (and safer) if there was a devise that can guide you, like a GPS saying, turn left, or go straight, hey, go back: you're way too far from destination...or a warning signal that shouts "danger, detour!" --- Then certainly, you would be more at peace.

It is the same with us, if you think about it. Everyday seems to be a drive along a foggy, dark, long and winding road.

We get ourselves stuck and blinded by a lot of voices saying, "you can't make it cause you're too old, too young, you're uneducated, you're not sophisticated, you're ugly, too short, too laid-back!" Can you hear yourself sometimes saying, I can't do this, I am not cut for this. I don't know, I was not born to be creative." ( Familiar voice?)

These are the daily influencers that keep us from moving forward and ahead.

In this instance, we should activate a device within us that would tell us "Trust in Me with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Me and I will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:5

Listen to the GPS that tells you, For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for a future and a hope" - Jeremiah 29:11
We should have a reservoir filled with God's Word and His promises available anytime within our hearts and I am sure our daily ride is going to be smooth, stable and fun with Jesus, however long, dark, foggy and winding it may be.

I love your hub, short and to the point, it makes a clear statement.

Reminds me of a question I asked on here when I first joined about 3 months ago, no one really answered, however I think I will ask it again now that I have met a lot of nice spiritual people.

      God bless
