A Wiccan of 25 years, Sage likes to put her background as a writer and teacher to use by helping people learn about this NeoPagan path.

The Element of Fire

The Spiritual Elements often play a role in ritual and magic, and the Wiccan religion is no exception. In some trads of Wicca we see everything as represented by one or more of the five Elements: Air, Earth, Fire, Water and Aether (also known as Spirit, or sometimes Akasha). In the introductory article to this series, I discuss the Elements in general and touch on their relationships. In this installment, we’ll focus on the correspondences of the Element of Fire.

Always remember that correspondences for the Elements can vary from tradition to tradition, religion to religion and person to person. There are usually more similarities than differences, but you should never take a list of Elemental correspondences as scripture. Adapt them as they would make sense to you, in your culture, geographic location, and practices.
