Heavenly manna-God's Spiritual food

This hub is for those who desire to know God better through His word. Hope you enjoy! God bless!

John 1 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God'. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; but the darkness comprehended it not'.

John 1:10 and 14 'He (God) was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He (God) came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. The Word (God) became flesh (Jesus) and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth'.

1 Thess 2:13 'When ye recieved the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.'

1 Peter 23 'Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever'.

Mark 4:31-32 'It is like a grain of mustard seed, which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth; But when it is sown, it groweth up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it'.

2 Peter 3:5 'For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water; Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished; But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men'.

Revelation 19:11' And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God'.

Hebrews 4:12 'For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 6:4 'For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come'. Regarding the Holy Ghost John 16 and 17 ' God will give us another Counselor to be with us forever-the Spirit of truth. The world cannot except him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you'.

Revelation 1:3 'Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein; for the time is at hand'.

God's word is able to save and convert the soul. We will not find God any other way except through Jesus Christ (God's Word in the flesh) to deliver His own Word to us. John 1:1 'In the beginning the Word was with God, and the Word was God'. His Word (Jesus) is our saving grace. He is the only way to salvation, the only truth that will set us free, and the only way to a full, complete and eternal life. John 14:6-7 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him'.

Reading on in this Chapter we will see that Jesus and God are of the same person. 'Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. The words I say to you are not just my own, Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. he will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father'.

There is power in God's Word. His Word brings forth truth into a darkened world through wisdom, knowledge and understanding. A clear understanding of where it all began. When we read the word of God, God reveals Himself to us. God yearns for us to read His word so we can come to know Him. God sent His Holy Spirit 'the Spirit of truth' to indwell in us to guide and teach us. We are never alone.

There is so much to be understood and known through God's word. There is a peace and love that surpasses all understanding and will never be found in this world, because it is not of this world. It is a heavenly peace that cannot be disturbed by worldly influence's. One may be tested at times, but God is preparing us for what He has in-store, Psalm 40:2 'He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings'. There is a purpose for all the trials we under-go. Romans 5:3-4 'We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope'.........Let us feast on the word of God and put our complete trust in Him. 'For all things are possible with God'.. Matthew 19:26.....Amen!

Sister, I loved the Scripture you included here. You progressed through the Bible in one very coherent stream. I love the way the Bible contains scarlet threads of truth. They weave their way through and you followed it with guidance from above. Love you and many blessings to you for the new year. Bob.

I believe Jesus says it best, when he is dealing with the devil in the wilderness after his baptism. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matt:4:4.
