The World Is Waking Up

Updated on November 8, 2011

Facing the Shadows

We are living in extraordinary times. It is without question that the world is waking up. It is as if the blinders that were blocking our sight have been removed.

Human beings are realizing what it is to be a Conscious Creator.

Many individuals are no longer prescribing to the lies that we have been sold. They are tired of the corruption in politics and business. Take a look at the protesting that is going on in this country as well as in the rest of the world. There are so many countries involved that we cannot dismiss this as simply a group of wishful thinking individuals that want to complain for the sake of complaining. These brave souls want a world that is for the betterment of society.

The film “Thrive: What On Earth Will It Take” is due out on 11/11/11. The film asks the question:

“Why aren’t we thriving as a species?”

This is an extremely important question to consider. Why do we allow thousands of people to die of starvation? Why are we still using fossil fuels that pollute the environment when we have the technology to produce cars that do not pollute? Why are we allowing our education system to crumble? Our children are our future. Education is something we cannot afford to waste. I feel this movie will get the dialog started. We cannot afford to ignore the problems. Sweeping society’s problems underneath the carpet does not solve anything. We are at a time in history in which we all have to face our shadows. We have the power to overcome our problems. We have the power to change our world for the better. As Gandhi has said,

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

The Paradigm Is Shifting

What we are seeing in the world is a collapse of an old corrupt system that solely supports the 1% and a new system that is taking its place based on Unity Consciousness. Companies and politicians that are acting unethical are being exposed. Dishonesty and corruption cannot exist in this new paradigm. There are far too many people that know the truth. Those that think they can fool humanity are mistaken.

Despite this economic crisis that we are facing, humanity is reaching out to help their fellow brothers and sisters. Even when natural disasters wreck havoc on towns and cities, compassionate human beings do not fail to lend a helping hand.

We are also seeing this shift in consciousness in books, films, documentaries, music, lectures, art, the people we converse with, as well as other mediums and avenues. There are so many books about this new consciousness that there are too many to mention. I do want to mention the works of Gregg Braden, Deepak Chopra, and Bruce Lipton. These wonderful souls have bridged science and spirituality.

The documentary “What the Bleep Do We Know?” is another example of science and spirituality merging. The film explores quantum physics and spirituality. Then we have “The Secret;” it is a documentary that explores the Law of Attraction:

We draw things to us by our thoughts and emotions.

In this Information Age, people are drawn to lectures and workshops. It was a privilege to see David Wilcock’s lecture in Pala, California. David, like the others I have mentioned, integrates science and spirituality. I am currently enjoying his new book entitled “The Source Field Investigations.” On September 11, this book made the New York Times bestseller list. These are just a few examples of this new shift of consciousness that we are a part of.

Making the World a Better Place

As I have said in many articles, we are powerful Creators. There are so many ways in which we can do our part in making the world a better place. We only have to listen to our hearts.

What resonates with you?

Perhaps you are one that would like to heal the world through kindness. Maybe you prefer meditation. There are scientific studies that prove that meditation has positive effects on the world. Then, we have those that prefer praying. Others may enjoy helping the world through creativity, such as music and writing. Einstein said that “imagination is more important than intelligence.”

We can individually and collectively create the world we wish to see.

There are those that make the world a better place through their positivity. They are the ones that put positive quotes on Facebook to inspire others. Then we have those that do their part through direct action, such as protesting. Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. used Civil Disobedience in dealing with injustice. That is what we are seeing the protestors deal with today. Or you might be the individual that uses a little of everything in changing the world. There is no set formula. It is your decision.

The key point in all this is that we all can make a difference.

In fact, Gregg Braden shares in his book “The Divine Matrix” that “the square root of one percent of the population” is the minimum number people to instigate change. For example, in a city with a population of 300,000 people would require only 30 people to begin change. Now, imagine a 1000 people in the city focusing on positive change. Change would happen much faster.

As Neale Donald Walsch and others have said,

"We are the ones we've been waiting for!"

Thank you Virginia for the kind words. I heard the movie consisted of 8 years of research. Their website took 3 years to complete. I believe in the credits that the film was said to be produced by Kimberly Foster. I don't think Hollywood produced it. They would not touch "What the Bleep." I agree with you; it doesn't matter who produced the film. It is the content that is important. As you have said, this movie is wonderful for those that do not really know what's going on in the world. It is also great for those that want to see many things put together in one film. I think the movie gives us a possible direction so that we can change the story to something that benefits the all. We are creative beings. We can use our imagination to make the world a better place. I am glad to hear that you enjoy meditation. Connecting with God is what's it about! Your meditation and your wanting positive experiences for others is definitely making the world a better place. Peace, Light, and Love, Terry

Great Article! I have researched David Wilcock and Deepak Chopra and agency saw Deepak and David Ickes I thought there's noway this could be a Hollywood thing, but who knows. It doesn't really matter though. Irbid the message that we all need to here and for those that know nothing about this, this is a great movie to open up their minds of what they have believed all there lives. This movie was well researched and put together wonderfully. I only hope that our world will be the way they explain it could be in the movie. Meditation opens my mind and leads me to certain things and this was one of them. My goals since I first began meditation has been to connect more closely with God. Man did I get more than I expected! I opened a can of worms that just seems to never get empty. May all find the truth that they seek and love, peace and harmony within. With Love, Virginia

Thanks for the comment lovemychris. You are right. It is important to be careful, but it is also equally important to keep our minds open. I do not know who is funding the film. I highly doubt Hollywood would produce it. They wanted nothing to do with "What the Bleep." One of the producers of the film used his own money to make the film. I just learned today that "Thrive" took 8 years of research. I also know that they support the protestors. We also see support for the film by the protestors: "Thrive was mentioned during a march at Occupy Wall Street SF this past Saturday(11/5/11), to loud cheers!"
