The glory of God and The glory of kings
Lift Him up and He will draw all men unto Himself
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, the glory of kings to search it out.
Finding God by closing your eyes and stepping out in faith pleases Him. Beyond sacrifice, a God hungry for your presence, lost in love for your communion He simply waits for His souls to draw near to Him. His demand is for us to seek Him, then blessings follow, then answers to those deeper things are revealed, then abundance of life is released. God loves to hide. He loves to weigh the scales of ones heart and motives. He is amazed with faith walk of His sons and daughters. In fact scripture finds God impossible to be pleased without faith.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6
One must cling to Him, one must rely, adhere on Him. Leaning beyond our eyes can see, taking a step where no step seems to be. All the while giving thanks to Him in all things, with a wonder of what dangers we miss, what destinies we find, what lives we save, what souls are won. Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, coming into time, and providing a way to Heaven.
We knock until the door opens, we seek when until our eyes hope again, we ask, we ask, we ask until answered. All the while God hides, wanting to be sought after, longing to answer us, hungry to fill His void of us.
Our own song of songs
He woos us. And we follow. He hides and we search. He silences Himself, and we listen. He speaks and we become still. When we draw nigh, He is revealed. He so loves us. He fights for us. We feel we know Him all and He turns another side of Himself. We complain and He becomes mercy. We fall and He lifts us. We draw into boundaries of hell and He rescues us. He is a God of mercies and graces. But He gets lonely for us. He wants to reveal. He wants to answer. He wants to show us the path.
He draws on our lives. He erases. We think He is done and then odd blessings awaken us. We sleep and He causes us to dream. We awake to new worlds in our imagination. Somehow though we feel we walk alone, our hearts burn for the whisper of His Word on the wind. We are abandoned until we look back and smile. Afflictions scream and in pain a masterpiece is found in us.
We are His song of songs.
