A Poem About Unconditional Love: There Is No Flaw In You

Updated on December 19, 2012

‘Unconditional love’ is something easily said than we actually living the true life of loving others unconditionally. It simply means love without conditions or strings attached. The divine unconditional love I always remember each day is God loving me and giving His life for me when I don’t deserve it.

God commands us to love. This commandment is not simply saying “I love you” but has profound meaning. How we conduct ourselves and live with those around us will reveal whether we love unconditionally or not.

Sometimes, heartbreaking and unforgivable things can happen in our lives which will test the depth of unconditional love in our hearts. For example, if you are a man and your wife commits adultery with another man, how will you react the very first moment you hear her confess to you? If you forgive her, how will you react if she repeatedly disrespects you? The story of the Prophet Hosea and Gomer in the Bible is indeed a story of unconditional love in marriage.

"You Are All Fair, My Love, There Is No Flaw In You"

I am not the 'without blemish or spot' type

Nor am I one of those who live perfect lives

I have been tried and tested in the furnace of affliction

I've traversed mountains and valleys and have been wounded in soul

But every time you look into my eyes

You say “you are all fair, my love, there is no flaw in you”

Your love is blind, it does not see the scars of my past nor smell the stench of my wounds

There are no strings attached when you made yourself of no reputation

To stoop low to raise me up from the dust of the earth

You laid down your life

So that I can mount up with wings and soar like an eagle

You gave up everything that is so dear to you

So that my dignity and self-esteem be restored

You denied yourself, so that I can be known

You washed my dirt, so that I can be clean

You taught me that true love is not just words but action

You profoundly demonstrated humility, self-denial and love

Your blind love does not hear the harsh and disrespectful words I utter

Your blind love does not see my faults and mistakes

Even when I stab your heart it produces forgiveness

Your unconditional love is renewed every morning

I hear You say “Arise, my love, my fair one and come away”

I will humbly bow down and surrender my life to You

As I live to see your goodness expressed in your words

“You are all fair my love, there is no flaw in you”.

Bible reference: Song of Solomon 4:7

Thank You Brent; I agree with the love part; it's mysteriously powerful.

I'll be in touch after I review this.

Love, I feel is the answer to everything, for look at those who lived in Love that taught you in your lives. Those who speak Love and teach Love have Love for themselves and Love for all others alike. I am on my quest to begin to Love myself and others and I believe that if we all can learn to Love again in this world, it will be heaven on Earth, something I would Love to share with God when my time comes!! :)

SeanBrook, I was reading your post and was intrigued by your questions and comments. I believe Unconditional Love is possible and it begins with us as individuals. For how can I love others unconditionally if I do not love myself unconditionally. I found this text from a cool website and wanted to share it. "We teach people True Knowledge about Enlightenment and how to use Negative Ions of Unconditional Love to self heal one’s 3rd dimensional physical body and one’s 4th dimensional Emotional Body."

I wonder is Unconditional Love possible in this world today?

I would like to think so. I feel we are way off track spiritually, however I

believe Jesus tried to teach us Unconditional Love and maybe some day it may return to some...unlikely very many in today's world...who knows?

Things would have to change drastically.

There is no unconditional Love . It is UNCONDITIONALLY AVAILABLE but is not unconditional if it was unconditional everyone would be saved in the end and we know that is not true, There are conditions to salvation/
