Something that I wrote a few years ago....
There they crucified Him!
There, on a hill called Golgotha.
The place of the Skull.
There, just outside of the city of Jerusalem. Where he taught, prayed, healed, had his last supper, where they placed Him in His tomb, and there was where He was resurrected….it was There! ..
There THEY crucified Him.
Who was “They?”
It was the Roman soldiers, the Jewish leaders, and a man named Pontus Pilate.
There they crucified Him….
Not only was it just THEY, it was US, all of us who believed in Him. Our sins, was the reason why this had to happen. But it was

This is well documented, that Jesus, was crucified…..
Crucifixion is one of the most brutal, cruel forms of capital punishment ever conceived by the human mind. It is one of the most painful, excruciating, humiliating, and extremely slow death anyone could ever go through. It was not uncommon to allow victims to hang for hours, suffering profound pain and anguish. Many times they would break the legs of the victim near the end of the day so that he could not push themselves up to grasp for more air, allowing them to finally, suffocate. Not only did Jesus endure a crucifixion, but to add insult to injury, they placed a mock crown of thorns that was driven into his head…

Jesus Christ, a carpenter’s son. Jesus of Nazareth. The Son of God. The Way. The Truth. The Life. Jesus Christ, my Lord and my God!
There they crucified Him.
He did this for you and me….Though this is the time we celebrate His birth, without this very significant event….He would not ever been crucified and there would have been the ultimate sacrifice.
Peter 1:19: "…the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."
Jesus was chosen from the beginning of time to be the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of mankind. God allowed His very own Son to open the passageway for civilization on this earth to come back to Him, for eternal life.
John 14:6 Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
So, that is why…..
There they crucified Him
