These Falling Away

Updated on November 24, 2012

We seldom attribute common sense except to those who agree with us. The long awaited open coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, popularly called the second coming is generating a lot of arguments and controversies in these last days within churches and interested members of the pagan movements. To make the matter worse, many bible scholars are confusing the White Throne Judgment with Christ’s Judgment, which is the reward of our faithful services (Revelation 20:11, I Corinthians 3: 13 – 15).

If the confusions are limited to these two categories of judgments, it would have been better; but when we now introduced the subject of TIME (when what happens), many are now more confused in the church as regards the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many predictions had been made by mere men as regards this day; the recent one being yesterday the 21st

day of November, 2012 and today I am still typing and spreading this truth! Error will die among its worshippers.

A learned fool is more foolish than an ignorant fool. If those in the Church do not understand this thing, what then can we show to those in the world as our hope of glory? We are so much concern about the names of these sporadic events, wanting to know which one comes first, and what happens thereafter: Post – millennium, pre – millennium, pre, mid and post tribulations periods, etc are all theories put up by man to either scare his fellow or to make him feel good about his knowledge of these events. However, the simple truth is to be with Christ Jesus whenever He comes.

The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is called by so many names in the Bible, some of which are; The Day of the Lord (I Thessalonians 5:2), The day of Redemption (Ephesians 4:30), The great day (Jude 6), The last day (John 6:39) and so on.

Instead of argument, what we should take note of are the signs that precede this great day of the Lord called the second coming. The Bible called our attention to these signs and the truth of the matter is that the signs are for the Church and they are not meant for the world. As a matter of fact the signs mean nothing to the world, that is why the world sees them from another perspective and give them another names. So it is very wrong for the Church to compare notes with the world as regard these signs. In essence, all the signs that talk about Christ’s second coming are to make the Church ready and prepare for the Head, Who is Jesus Christ!

According to Apostle Paul in his writing to the Thessalonians Christians, he wrote:

‘Now brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the FALLING AWAY comes first and the MAN OF SIN is revealed, the son of perdition.’ – 2 Thessalonians 2:1 -3 (emphasis mine).

From the above scripture, we all should be concern about two major signs namely: The Falling Away & the Man of sin revealed (made known openly). Whatever happens thereafter should not be the major concern of the heavenly minded child of God, who is waiting for the great day of the Lord. Your concern as a bride of Christ is to be with Him whenever He comes. Remember the five wise virgins that entered with Him? They were not concern about the five foolish virgins outside the door or the names of the events that happened to them outside the door (Matthew 25:1 – 13). Whatever happens to those who are not watchful is not your concern; you have only one assignment – to be with Him when He comes, therefore watch!

If falling away is the first major sign to look out for, what then is this falling away? This is the falling out or walking out of truth of once Christian brethren, who were once with us in faith. Falling away is birthed by deception and fueled by rebellion, it is responsible for all the heresies we see and hear around the church world today. Falling away should not be mistaken for the proliferation of the churches. The experienced Apostle John warned us thus:

‘They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they ad been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.’ – I John 2:19

The alarm I am raising through this medium is that the falling away is already happening! Many are leaving their primary love for Jesus Christ. Many that started with Christ are now partakers with demons, wickedness now permeates the Christian world these days, sexual perversions are overtaking the Christian leadership, fund – raising is fast displacing the salvation message on the pulpits, the once homogenous holy church is now becoming a mega populace of mixed multitudes with a strong appetite for sins. Surely, there is a falling away in our days.

Finally, as churches are weaken and sins become the order of the day, subtly the Man of sin will appear and he with boldness shall promote sin, making it legal with laws backing them. For example, the same sex marriage law, the law forbidden the teaching of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) in schools of many advanced countries, the laws that promote idolatry brought foreign idols and their worship all in the name of Tourism, laws backing the persecution of Christians directly or indirectly, etc.

If you are not sleeping, you will see that the falling away has prepared the ground for the man of sin to appear, therefore the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is eminent and is nearer than before. Therefore you get ready and tell someone to be prepared.

Preparing the Bride,

Words of wisdom! I see our world changing with each passing day, it is heading towards the end time quickly. We must reach out to others who may be questioning the path we are on to help them to avoid the inevitable ending.

What you are writing is true, but many people believe it is not. You also know that. The end is coming. Just as it is written in the bible. Some think we are fools. The sad thing is the devil can blind us, and that is happening. This is a very good hub.

      Voted up.
