Things God Don't Know: No. 2

Updated on February 1, 2015

Second Thing God Doesn't Know

God Doesn’t Know A Sin He Doesn’t Hate – He doesn’t know how to ignore sin. God is a perfect God and cannot tolerate sin. David tells us in Psalm 5 that “evil cannot lodge with God.” There are times we will choose to ignore something wrong, hoping it will go away. God isn’t capable of doing that. The Garden of Eden was a place of perfection, but when Adam and Eve allowed sin into their lives they could no longer stay there. Cain murdered Abel. God exiled Cain. The world was so wicked God regretted ever creating man and He flooded the entire world. Sodom and Gomorah – destroyed, Israel spent an additional 40 years in the desert for their disobedience. Ecclesiastes 7:20, “There is certainly NO righteous man on the earth who does good and never sins.” Romans 3:11 tells us “No one is righteous,” 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death.” Notice it says WAGES of SIN. Wages is a payment or punishment for sin. And it doesn’t say which sin. Sin is sin. James tells us “If you can keep the entire law, yet fail in one point you are guilty of breaking the law.” Sin is sin no matter what it is. God hates all sin and is unable to ignore it.
