The Word Was God

The Last Two Words

Coming to the end of the 30 days of words from God where I compiled them into the weekly hubs, I find myself with two final words, the one I received yesterday I meditated on all day today and the word I received today was “words”.

God's Strength

FURROW, means ditch, channel, fold, hollow, seam…I found this word odd and searched for the biblical definition of it online because I wanted to know what it was that God was trying to tell me. I was lead to Job 31:38-40 “If my land cries out against me, And its furrows weep together; If I have eaten its fruit without money, Or caused its owners to lose their lives; Then let thistles grow instead of wheat, And weeds instead of barley.” The words of Job are ended.” What God really pressed into me in this verse was the last sentence “The words of Job are ended”, most of my weekly hubs had a pattern of restoring faith, looking to God, listening to God, and the continuation of constantly getting back up when kicked down. I thought interestingly enough the second to last word of the 30 day word project ended with, “The words of Job are ended”. So much meditation on this, waiting on God and coming to a conclusion that God has given me everything over the last 30 days to end the trials of not wanting to get back up that in my weakness, He gives me strength, just as in 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” In looking through Bible commentaries online I found this statement about Job 31:40 “The Believer’s Bible Commentary p.532 adds, "Job’s words will be rightly ended when he is ready to give praise to the One who alone is worthy of it. We are glad to be through with Job’s words as uttered here." We should not be offended by the unexplained. It is fine to want to understand, but we should not demand to understand.” For those that have read the previous weeks of words I have received from God you can understand my WOW about this revelation, Praise to God!

Find Words to Speak

Speak Your Words

This morning I was reminded of the word “words” thinking about everything God has revealed to me over the last 30 days and thinking about a post that I saw on Facebook that stated the following “The more I verbalize WHAT I AM THANKFUL FOR the less cloudy my heart feels” ~Lysa TerKust Along with that was an explanation of writing down everything that you are thankful for. Interestingly enough two weeks ago in church a sister told me to draw a circle and in that circle write down everything I am thankful for, a few days prior to that another sister spoke to me online telling me I wasn’t going to end the conversation until I told her what I am thankful for. God has been all over these words combining them for me to bring me to a complete revelation about what He was trying to show me to bring me to where He wants me to be. Amen!

I decided to write down words I was thankful for and found a place online in which to randomize and create a word cloud. I did this so that I could print it off and put it where I will see it every day to remind myself of my thankfulness in life that God has given me.

10,000 Reasons ~ Matt Redman

Lyrics to 10,000 Reasons ~ Matt Redman

Bless the Lord, O my soul - O my soul - Worship His holy name - Sing like never before - O my soul - I'll worship Your holy name
The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning - It's time to sing Your song again - Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me - Let me be singing when the evening comes
[Chorus] - Bless the Lord, O my soul - O my soul - Worship His holy name - Sing like never before - O my soul - I'll worship Your holy name
You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger - Your name is great, and Your heart is kind - For all Your goodness I will keep on singing - Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find
[Chorus] - Bless the Lord, O my soul - O my soul - Worship His holy name - Sing like never before - O my soul - I'll worship Your holy name
And on that day when my strength is failing - The end draws near and my time has come - Still my soul will sing Your praise unending - Ten thousand years and then forevermore
[Chorus x2] - Bless the Lord, O my soul - O my soul - Worship His holy name - Sing like never before - O my soul - I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name - Lord, I'll worship Your holy name
Sing like never before - O my soul - I'll worship Your holy name - Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
I'll worship Your holy name

Be In The Presence of God

When we listen to the Matt Redman song, 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) we hear him reminding us in worship to find the reasons to thank God. Reasons are words, and there are so many words in the dictionary and in all languages. Speaking to God, speaking to others we use words every day and when we think about this we can see how much meaning comes from words we speak. God tells us to speak to Him and we do this in prayer. He tells us to sing a new song of praise Psalms 96:1 “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.” Come up with our own words to praise Him and sing those praises to God. All the glory goes to our Father and for our Father sending Christ down so that through Him we have our salvation and can go to our Father and eventually spend eternity in Heaven, a place beyond anything we can imagine and feelings beyond anything on Earth to be in the presence of Almighty God.

All Glory Goes To God Always
