This is better than winning the lottery.

Updated on April 18, 2012

What a wonderful gift

This is all I need to make my day.

He always delivers.

“Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” (Ephesians 3:20 Living Bible)

This is better than winning the lottery.

Let’s make a little change okay. Now instead of saying us, change it to me. Instead of we change it to me. Change our to my. Okay now reread it and see how it sounds to you? Pretty awesome huh? Most people when they win the lottery are broke with in two years. You can never exhaust Gods gift giving.

Now be good children and don’t forget to say thank you to daddy for all His marvelous gifts He unendingly showers us with every day.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh, God our provider, for Your never ending flow of delightful gifts. Especially, the most precious of all, the gift of a close loving relationship with You. We give thanks in the name Your most precious gift of all Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

This is a version of the five-step Daily Examen that St. Ignatius of Loyola practiced.

      1. Become aware of God’s presence.

      2. Review the day with gratitude.

      3. Pay attention to your emotions.

      4. Choose one feature of the day and pray from it.

      5. Look toward tomorrow.

There are numerous websites that go into it in greater detail.

Also an excellent suggestion--very reminiscent of the Prayer of Examen.

      Thank you all.

Here is a challenge for you: every time something good happens to you during the day write it down.

Then give thanks to God at bed time.

Soon you will see just how much He does bless us.

      God bless you all.

So true! God's treasures for us from his storehouse are unlimited. He gives all things to us pressed down, shaken and overflowing!
