The Unexplained

The "Devil's Triangle", off Bermuda's fair climes,

a strange region of a mystery,

Disappearances of ships and many lost souls,

has a continuation, to its history.

The volatile waters of the deepest seas,

with storms and its unexplained events,

This geometric shape, by compass,

to create, a mystique and chilling suspense.

The thirty-sixth parallel lair, in the Sea of Japan,

the same as that, of the United States.

Both, the victim's of strange happenstance,

of the missing crews, and all their fates.

Strange lights to be seen over oceans there,

and beneath their waters, as well,

What odd stories, to be shared by those,

to witness these anomalies, and to tell.

Some say that the sea bottom's to shake,

caused by quakes and a volcano's, uproar,

another theory to be postulated, then,

of the methane gases, that rise from the floor.

A most bizarre of scenarios claimed,

the calamities, all caused by alien intervention,

Then, there's the colliding of a black hole there,

to suck all the molecules, its intention.

Whatever the source, or cause, a barbaric pirating,

of so many, to be robbed of such a high cost,

The sunken ships, and airplanes, all to be taken,

to evaporate, into a sea, where all were lost,.

Off Japan, to the south and eastward, to the States,

Are the foreboding marks, demarcation lines,

The Devil's Sea, as off Bermuda shores, no clues,

The people, all who were lost, we'll never find.

Lost in a swirling of sea's waters, so dim,

answers to these questions, still to go unsolved,

The brightest, most intelligent minds, all taxed,

and to be left, in their research, as unresolved.

That old devil, Satan himself, resides beneath us all,

and does conceal his reasons, all too well,

Prevents solving of these mysteries of our times,

and by him, to us, he shall never, so tell.

Very nice work my friend! Do they know if this is fact or fiction? I've heard about this for most of my life but don't remember ever reading a definitive explanation for it.

There seems to be legitimate answers as several causes, such as weather related, huge waves from odd sources, the gas theory has been proven untrustworthy and some of the volcanic eruption ideas seem more plausible. The black hole deal is just a theory and not proven, and the UFOs thing, although quite often seen in the areas, have still not been proven as to the cause of disappearances.Yep, it's all one big unsolved mystery for now, and maybe later, we will get smart enough to find real answers to it all. Thanks, Bill.

I have heard so many stories about this area, I do live in the vicinity, and find each of them fascinating. I heard that it was the gateway to hell. That aligns with your poem's reflection on the Devil's sea.

Whats so intriguing to me is the fact that on the same parallel eastward to Japan, there is an identical region that has the same history and missing planes, ships and people. It is a mystery. Thanks teaches.

What a nice and simplified way to give me an overview of the Bermuda Triangle's mysteries. Now , when I try to look deeper into it I will have more understanding because your poem is so helpful:) Your writing style is very interesting.
