True Ghost Story: When I Was Just 7 Years Old...

It was mid spring, 2002, I was all about goofin' around and having fun, much like today. I remember this particular day though. It started off just like any regular weekend, breakfast with the family, great time conversing then usually watch an episode The Fresh Prince Of Bel-air, Or Ninja Turtles, after that, I would just go play outside, all day. Well most of the time. Sometimes I would just go play floor hockey or hide and seek with my cousin's, in my basement. We didn't require much for us to be entertained.

So after I ate my breakfast and watched "The Fresh Prince", I went to jump on our trampoline for a while, maybe 2 hours, then after I wanted to play my video game. So I went and asked my mom, because I was only allowed to play my game if I did my chores and homework. Luckily this time, I had finished my chores that day and I had finished my homework the day before, so I was pretty confident about asking. Lucky again! She said yes! So I then headed straight upstairs to my room to play my video game which by the way, was usually either a Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, or Final Fantasy. When I did play my video game, everyone was usually downstairs watching family sitcoms, laughing away, and I was usually just sitting there playing my playstation, we had both PS1 and PS2 around this time, because after I got my PS2, my sister wanted, quote-unquote, "The gray one." It actually still makes me laugh just thinking about it what she had said.

So I was sitting there playing what I remember to be a very intense match of Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone Video Game, probably sat there for about 2 full hours, just gaming away. My mother or father would occasionally come check on me every half hour or so. So you could imagine the security I felt. Now, from the period of the last time my parents checked on me to the time I saw this thing I'm about to tell you about. I was tormented, mentally by this entity.

I always sensed something in that house. But since I wanted to play Harry Potter, I would try to be brave and ignore all the footsteps, knocks, and whispers, I would hear. I never actually seen anything there though, I would always just hear things. This time was different though, I felt colder, and I felt as if some invisible person, or entity, if you will, was up there with me but... as usual I would always tell myself, "It's all in your head. There's no such thing as ghosts." About 2 hours into trying to beat the game. I felt a coldness come over me, I tried to ignore it, then suddenly I looked behind me towards my bed and the blanket on my bed, which I made earlier in the day, was crumpled and standing up in a very unusual way. I looked back at the television, and It took me a little while to realize this. Realize that my bed that I had not gotten on since I woke up, was disorganized, in a very aggressive looking fashion if I might add. At this point, It took me about 30 seconds to realize what had just happened.

Once I realized what had happened, I looked back at my blanket, then turned back toward the T.V. and right in my doorway, was what appeared to be a man approximately seven feet tall, with a black top hat, long black trench coat, with an all black cain. No face only, red eyes. This whatever it was, had an all black face with red glaring eyes. No other identifiable features on the face. It didn't have legs either. Or it appeared to be floating above a pair of huge all black steel toe boots. No legs, well it was as if the legs were invisible. It was as if it was physical human being, but with no face, just red eyes and floating above a pair of all black boots. The legs were not visible. It walked right into my room where it stood, about 6 feet away from me. It just stared at me. I was frozen. I had never felt like this before. This was new to me me and it was terrifying. I could move my eyes, look around. But I could not move my body. It seemed to have a very demented look in its eyes. As I looked this entity in the eyes, it appeared to feed off my fear. It seemed to slowly come closer, the longer I was looking at it, raising more and more fear, as time when on. It stopped about 4 feet away from me. I could not scream, I could only stare. I was in the midst of insanity right there. It must have stood there and stared me into the eyes for approximately 40 seconds or so.

I didn't know what to think, all I knew was, I was looking straight into the eyes of evil, of something trying to hurt me. As I was looking at it I started to cry, I honestly thought this thing was going to take me. Okay at this point it hit the 40 second mark, and the beast just walked down our hallway, and vanished, and when it vanished, it let out a very sinister laugh, it was more of a scream of torture, mixed with an attempt to laugh.

after this incident had happened, I was on the edge on insanity. This is the day I started to question things and started to wonder if there is truly a god. I am not a religious person at all, but I do respect everyone's beliefs and opinions. I am not saying there is a god or there is not a god. What I am saying is, I saw this with my own eyes, it can't be an illusion, it just can't be. I am not really a believer in having a god, but what I do know is, I saw this. It could have been paranormal, it could have been a physical being, I know this thing was there, you have the right to believe what ever you want, but in my mind, this was very much real. gives me chills just writing about it. It was definitely a very strange experience indeed.
