I like this quote:

The meek man is not a human mouse afflicted with a sense of his own inferiority. Rather he may be in his moral life as bold as a lion and as strong as Samson; but he has stopped being fooled about himself. He has accepted God's estimate of his own life. A.W. Tozer

A Prayer For Humility

Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
Psalm 131:1-3

No need to strive too much for humility. You will naturally be humble when you have developed compassion for others.

Humility is something we all struggle with as our pride gets in the way... what I have found over the years is humility builds character, the character God calls us to have and at the end of the day the blessings which come from humility are blessings beyond the desire to have pride.

Wonderful hub and a reminder of what we are called to be.

      Blessings and Hugs
