True Source of Security

True Source of Security

>

>

If the Lord had not been on our side let Israel say

If the Lord had not been on our side when men attacked us,

When their anger flared against us,

They would have swallowed us alive,

The flood would have engulfed us ,

The torrent would have swept over us,

The raging waters would have swept us away.

>

Psalm 124 : 1 – 5

>

>

Have you been in a situation where you were almost hit by a catastrophe or tragedy and were able to escape by a slim margin ?

>

Several times in our lives, me and my family were almost struck by a tragic circumstance, but the Lord had never allowed such a calamitous occurrence touched me and my family. The Lord is always faithful in delivering us whenever I call on His Name. The Lord is always on our side to protect us. He never fail us before.

>

I realized then that in every moment of my life I am completely dependent upon God’s mercy. I can never be independent from Him. I can never afford to depart from His ways and live a sinful life. I must continue to live in holiness and righteousness for I am completely dependent upon the Lord. For it is written in Psalm 103 : 11,13 :

>

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him. As a father has compassion on his children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.”

>

We are living in perilous times, a time wherein wickedness is at its height and wicked people are so rampant. We need the protection of the Almighty to remain safe in this wicked generation. Only those people who live blameless walk can be completely confident to seek the protection of the Almighty. For the Lord is ever on the side of the righteous.

>

We can never rest our confidence upon our wealth for our protection. The best source of protection is the Lord Almighty. The Name of the Lord is the strongest refuge, there will be no greater than it. Even the wealthy can never be completely secure, even though they have many money to pay for security. To be completely secure, we must strive hard to be righteous all the time. For God is the true source of security. And being blameless before God and men is the safest way to live so far.

Thank you for your personal expression of truth, and faith in God's goodness. Peril is all around, but so is God - and He is not surprised!
