Unconditional love from above

Updated on November 25, 2012

I don't always write about things of religion, but lately this has been on my mind. We all want to be loved and we have our families which give us all the love that they can give. But there are times when things happen that will tear that love away whether it is something big or something small. I have found that when you don't always feel the love of your family sometimes there is one person that will love you unconditionally and when others are not there for you, he is that one person you can count on to lead and love you.

We all have families that we were born into and we grow to love each other in both the good and bad times. We have our parents, brothers and sisters that we know love us and would do anything for us, however, they cannot be there for us all the time. But unfortunately we don't always get along with each other because of something that happens and that can really take the love we had for each other away. So in times that we really need each other, we find that we don't have the love we once had. Luckily for me, I still have a family that loves me and I know that if I need them they will try their best to be there for me.

But in all my years, I have been taught that not only does my family love me, but that there is someone else who loves us more, he knew us from before we were even born and he still loved us. There are times when we really need that unconditional love from Jesus, he is there for us always and knows what we do when no one is watching. He is also the most forgiving when others are not easy to forgive. There are times when we really need the love that he offers us because it is what keeps us strong in the most trying moments of our lives. When there is no one else to walk with us in our most lonely walks, he is there walking right beside us letting us know that he will always love us unconditionally.

Money doesn't have to matter when we have Jesus.

Thank you for writing this hub. God loves us, He truly does. But, that does not mean we get every single thing we want. For instance, I don't have a billion dollars :) but that is ok. What matters most is that He loves us. That is wonderful!

Good read. I love your opening of photo of Jesus holding the child. Just wondered where you found that.

James 4/3 :"You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." Its all about God's will not ours. There is quite a bit of fine print... you need to repent and believe. I suggest you read the Bible.

Unconditional Love? What is this you speak of? How come when I ask the guy in the sky to aid me in becoming filthy freakin' rich he does give it to me?

I question what you actually mean by "unconditional'' Or is there some fine print i am missing?

Family is wonderful, I do miss mine. Their love is always so warm, but as you say, the love of Jesus is warmer still and unconditional. He loves us no matter what we have done or said, his forgiveness is a blessing. Voted up.
