Understanding and Knowing GOD

We are not living in a time to play church. It is time to know GOD and enter into an intimate relationship with GOD. Many say that they know GOD, but it is hard to tell with the actions that they take. Knowing GOD is more than just believing that Jesus died for us. The devil believe GOD and believe that Jesus died for us.

Knowing GOD is separating yourself for HIM. Live in holiness, conduct yourself in a manner that pleases GOD. Take time to know GOD by speaking to HIM and know HIM through HIS Word. GOD desires that we seek to know HIM.

Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; 24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24

There are many Scriptures that commands us to know GOD. Many people are too busy thinking about their "wants", and forget that GOD is here to fulfill our needs. Some of the things we want, can destroy us. Sometimes we brag about the things that we have and how much it costs. We talk more about material things than the things of above. We need to get rid of that pride in our lives. Take time apart and know GOD.

You want to understand and know GOD? Know that HE is a loving GOD. He want us to love one another. We should stop that "hate crime" against other denominations. Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist those are just man made names, we are the Body of Christ. One is not better than the other. GOD knows who is going to heaven. HE will choose from the Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist and so on. We don't have the power to send anyone to hell. Leave that to GOD!

GOD's commandments is: “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

If you read 1 John, you will realize that GOD want us to love one another. If you do not love your brother then you do not know GOD nor understand HIM.

The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8

You want to know and understand GOD, then learn how to love.

Telling the truth to someone, sometimes can be difficult. We don't want to hurt other people's feelings. We also want to protect many people from being hurt. The way to truly know someone is when we are completely honest with one another.

If we want a better relationship with GOD then we should be able to hear the truth about ourselves. It can be hard to listen to the truth. We can become a better person when we hear the truth. It can be hurtful because we sometimes become upset or sad because of what we hear.

To know GOD is to know truth. HE says it how it is and HE calls it how HE sees it. We struggle with saying the truth, but GOD does not have that problem.

Let's know GOD by hearing the truth about ourselves. Let GOD tell you the truth. GOD is our doctor, HE will tell you what is wrong with you, but not only tell the truth HE also gives you the treatment to better yourself.

Be sincere with yourself. Peter said "I am a sinful man", Isaiah said "Woe is me" he knew what GOD is capable of. We can never know GOD until we relate to HIM through Jesus.

We must come in repentance and faith. Thank GOD for telling you the truth about yourself.Jesus prayed and said "Sanctify them in the truth" John 17:17. the Word of GOD is the truth. It tells us what GOD thinks about our heart and mind. Our heart needs fixing, for it is wicked.

For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. Matthew 15:19

We want to do harm to others. We talk negative about our neighbor and other churches. Sometimes we rejoice when our neighbor is going through a difficult time. That is not right we need to get it together and know GOD. We need to follow Christ and let the Holy Spirit work in our lives.

We must FIND LOVE!!!!

You cannot know GOD if you don't know about worship. GOD does not have a body, HE is non-material. Spirits don't have bodies.

" My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” Luke 24:39

To know GOD is to understand how to worship HIM in spirit. For some people it may be difficult to understand that GOD does not have a body. That is why the bible speaks about GOD in human terms, like "the Hand of the Lord" or "the eyes of the Lord" these terms are used so we can relate to the spirit because otherwise we won't understand.

GOD does not want us to make images or statues of HIM. There is nothing that can represent GOD properly. GOD doesn't want us to pray or worship statues. What matters to GOD is what we do in our inner being, our spirit. What's in your spirit is what concerns GOD about you. Everything else will just flow out.

Know GOD by worshiping HIM in spirit and in truth. So, worshiping GOD in spirit means to worship HIM with your attitude, with your heart, with your emotions, all of our love, all of our affection and adoration. Worship GOD for who HE is. Praise GOD for what HE has done.
