Here are the vital statistics that people should know about the book of Galatians.

Author: Paul the Apostle

Audience or to whom it was written: This is written to the Churches in Southern Galatia which is founded on Paul's 1st missionary journey that includes Iconium, Lystra, Derbe, and perhaps in Northern Galatia, which is also founded by Paul the Apostle during his missionary journey

Purpose: The purpose of this book is to refute the Judaizers who taught that Gentile believers must obey the Jewish law in order to be saved, and to call Christians to faith and freedom in Christ.

Date written: it was written in 48 A.D from Antioch or in 50 A.D prior to the Jerusalem

Theme: Paul writes to counter the claims of legalistic Judaizers who were telling the Galatian believers that they must be circumcised and keep the Law of Moses in order to be saved.

Setting: The setting of this story is the most pressing controversy in the early church was the relationship of new believers, particularly the Gentiles, to the Jewish laws.The most interesting setting is Paul the Apostle had founded on his first (1st) missionary journey. Paul wrote this letter to correct this problem. Later, at the council in Jerusalem, the conflict was officially resolved by the church leaders.

Key verse: The key verse is in Galatians 5:1 and it says " So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law."

Special features: This letter is not addressed to any specific body of belivers and was probably circulated to several churches in Galatia.

This is the most important of the book of Galatians

In Galatians 5:22-23 in NIV

the verse says "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

The content of my article in the book of Galatians

I would like to informed ahead in the public viewers that my article is updated anytime because the content will be add-on anytime without any prior notice. Because I need to update it anytime as long as it is related to the book of Galatians.

This is a heavy content article and it is suitable for heavy readers because they will apply it for the theological research , Pastors from other churches, Religious sectors from other churches.
