2. She Surely Gets Home with the Money

Whatever the source of the money, it is certain that the woman gets home with the ten silver. In other words bringing this to the present day when there is online businesses, and the account would be credited by buyers, the woman knows that her account has been credited by those who ordered for what she is selling.

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? (Luke 15:8)

For if she was not sure that she gets the money home, she will first go back to the street, go back to her store to know if she forgets to pick the money and or while going back to the store she will be looking down to see if the money dropped on the road while returning home. But according to the Master, the woman does not do these, what she did was looking for the money inside her room, the house because she was double sure that she gets the money home.

When one is sure of something the person cannot be tossed to and fro, it is those who are not sure of what they know, or have seen that are being tossed around by people, therefore apostle Paul admonishes that we should be sure of what we believe so that we shall not be tossed around by different doctrines.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (Eph. 4:14)

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. (Heb 13:9)

Let us be sure of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is when we are sure of our faith in Him that we can say as the three Hebrews say when Nebuchadnezzar was threatening them that “we know our God can save us, however, if he fails to save us, we are ready to go to be with him”.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (Dan 3:16-18)

3. She Knows where she keeps the money

it is clear from the verse that the woman knows where she has kept the money after being given or when she gets home from her workplace.

4. She Perhaps did not notice the Loss in time

As a business person, after getting home from the tedious day’s work, she may have been tired such that she quickly left for the kitchen to prepare what she will eat as such she does not know that the money has been lost. Or like those into online business she does not know that her account has been compromised, her credit card details has been revealed or stolen by fraudsters.

5. How She Gets to Know that Her money was Lost

After preparing for what she wants to eat and or perhaps during the process of preparation for she wants to eat she discovers that she needs to buy something which she will add to the food she is preparing, she has forgotten to buy the thing when returning home, or maybe she does not know that the thing has finished and on getting home as she wants to take the ingredient and add to the food she is preparing she discovers it is not enough, she discovers it has finished and she needs to add it to the food she was preparing, therefore, she went to where she has put the money, to take a silver out of it to go and buy that which she will add to the food she was preparing, alas, she does not find ten silver again what she only finds was nine silver.

Or it may be that few moments after getting home she received a phone call from one of her suppliers that she should credit his account so that she helps in getting her a good that she has ordered for, or the good which is out of stock, and as she was trying to transfer the money she discovers that the money could not be transferred because she does not have the amount in her account again, she was baffled and would say that cannot be, and she will start to check for where the error could have originated from.

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? (Luke 15:8)

In the next article I shall continue by telling us some additional things of note in this wonderful parable.
