WE Sold Out Jesus The Christ And His Word For 303 Electoral College Votes....

Updated on July 14, 2013

We Sold Out Jesus, The Christ, And His Word For 303 Electoral College Votes…

For many Christians, the first time we voted for President Obama, many of us could have chalked it up to ignorance, but doing so a second time gives us no excuse for voting for the secular messiah again. It may not be Judas’ thirty pieces of silver, but the 303 Electoral College votes that ushered President Obama to another Presidential term represent the same symbolism of Jesus’ betrayal. Look at how all the world, including the vainglorious in Hollywood is rejoicing for President Obama’s second term - who knows his or her Bible… doesn't it say that friendship with the world (James 4:4) is enmity with God. Years ago, the Prophet/Judge Samuel wept bitterly because the young Nation of Israel had chosen a King (Saul) replacing God’s Judges because the Twelve Tribes of Israel envied the rest of the world because the latter was governed by secular kings. The Almighty, looking down and being the Gentleman that He always is - whereby He let us make our own decisions (free will) - said to Samuel that he should not weep because the Israelis did not reject him, but they rejected their God. Isn't that what those of us Christians did by voting for President Obama a second time… knowing his stance against many of the tenets of Christ Jesus?

I am not going to go over all that President Obama has done that is diametrically opposed to Biblical principles - from calling the Koran holy to his support for gay marriage – but to my Christians brothers and sisters who want my prose to be encased in Political Correctness… do I write anything that the Apostles Paul, Peter, John, and moreover, the Christ has not warned and admonished us about? What do we tell the Lord when we kneel before Him - I knew what President Obama stood for, but he was Black, and therefore, racial pride trumped the Word. As an apt point of reference, I will say again, when Moses nephews worshiped idols in the wilderness… didn't God kill them and did not God tell Moses to pray for his sister, Miriam, because if Moses did not do so that He would kill Miriam for her prejudice? What God punished Miriam and struck down others for cannot compare to what we are supporting today, including walking in lock-step with President Obama. It is not so much that we all have engaged and still have cravings for certain behaviors… but it is because I do believe that if anyone who engages in Fornication, Adultery, homosexuality, or any other proscribed behavior, says to the Lord, that these respective cravings are wrong because You say so, then He is faithful to forgive us, even if we do not get over those behaviors right away - instead, we call God/Jesus a liar by saying that these behaviors are normal because President Obama and the world say so. I supposed that sometime in the near future we should be able to marry animals and our sisters and brothers; after all, the same place in the Bible (Exodus) that told us that homosexuality is wrong also says the same about incest and bestiality.

Now here is the criticism that my church sisters and brothers been addressing to me… saying that I/we have to be practical. I supposed that the Bishop of my church should perform gay marriages because it would be a financial boon to the church’s coffers… wouldn’t that be akin to betraying the Christ and the economic gains akin to Judas’ thirty-pieces-of-silver? Now those who are gay or those who say that the Bible is wrong for proscribing the homosexual behavior were not so vocal when many Muslims took offense to ascribing that same behavior to their prophet a few months ago that supposedly set off the riots in Egypt and elsewhere… what a wondrous irony. Oh, we happy few… the opiate of the masses that we are pejoratively called for believing in Christ Jesus and believing that He and His Word changes not. The Heaven of old is the same place we are striving to go, but the lifestyle we should lead to gain access is being changed by man and sadly even Christians. Judgment is already here in America and no being Black or being a Feminist, or being the First African American President can save us; we can only hope that God, through His Son Jesus Christ, will have mercy on us for our betrayal of his principles, including voting for President Obama… these Christian principles have been intimately part of this country than any other, which were the root cause for our long lasting Jehovah-Jireh bounty. Like always, I must leave with a quote from the Rock of Ages: “Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one (Isaiah 44:8).”

To Justin Farick - If Only I could be more a loon for Christ Jesus - you know akin to when King David danced to please God and they said that David was being vulgar.

The people choose where they want to go not the President. This is true of the church too. Refusal to accept this truth and insist on forcing the people to swallow what we think they should even if they don't want it simply leads to frustrations and rants and in the end we are the ones who become irrelevant.
