What Does God Require of Us!
Salvation is based on genuine acceptance of JESUS!
What Does God Require of Us?
True inner healing and Peace can be found in an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ! Anyone who believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accepts Him as their personal Savior and Lord will be saved! We are created equal yet all of us are quite uniquely different! Salvation is not based on who we are, on what we have done, nor what we do. It is based on our genuine acceptance of Jesus Christ within our hearts!
Salvation does not guarantee an easy life! As Christians we are to encourage others to get to know Jesus Christ through His Word and developing an ongoing relationship with Him. “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to SALVATION for EVERYONE who believes...” Romans 1 What does God require of us?
Upon professing Jesus Christ you now begin the process of giving your life over to Him! Many do not realize that now as children of God our lives no longer belong to us. This is why it is so important to get to know Him through His WORD! "...Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” I CORINTHIANS 6
We all have inherited a sin nature due to the original sin of Adam and Eve. Because of this we have a natural proclivity towards sin. What is sin? Sin is anything that separates us from God; basically we miss the mark! When your conscious is sensitive towards God you desire to live to please Him! As a child of God whenever you sin we have an advocate, when sin beckons we can “Call upon Jesus!” You readily confess, repent and then move once again toward the mark.
We ALL need a Savior to save us from the power of sin reigning in our lives. We cannot earn our way to heaven! Because of God’s Love for us, He has made a way back to Him to restore the relationship that He originally intended. We have been extended the “gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ! Salvation is by Faith! “Therefore having been justified by FAITH, we have PEACE with GOD through our Lord Jesus CHRIST.”
Spiritual growth and development for us as children of God is an ongoing life long process! His Word is Bread from Heaven ! It is the “Manna ” we need in order to grow spiritually! It contains a plethora of wise counsel! It is in His Word we can find direction for our daily lives. God has given us the ability to choose. You can choose God ‘s WAY, your way or the way of the world?
Since we are created in His Image we were created to be a reflection of Him and to embrace and live by His principles! God knows exactly where each one of us are, and what we need. He accepts us as we are. But He does not expect us to stay as we are! As we grow spiritually and walk humbly with Him, He illuminates our path! “His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a Light unto our path.” Although our positions vary we are all of equal value to the Lord. God has given each of us gifts. Our gifts are to be used to further His kingdom.
God LOVES us; for He is LOVE! He does not leave us alone to figure life out. The interesting paradox is that in our weaknesses we are made strong by Him. God can use whoever He so desires! Our body is a Temple! His power comes alive in us! As we study, and apply His Word we can become stronger spiritually! His Holy Spirit residing within us brings about a wonderful metamorphosis! Each believer is sealed with the promise of His Holy Spirit! The Fruit of His Spirit grows and becomes apparent in our lives. The Fruit of His Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control! We must remain connected to the vine for His Fruit to flourish in our lives. We never get to the place that we can do without God.
There is a wonderful attainable inner PEACE when God is in our lives! Yet, we cannot avoid trials or crisis. Conflict in life is inevitable! This is what also opens the doors of intimacy with the Lord! It is during these times we can TRUST GOD and allow Him to work His wonders! He can and will usher us safely through. Absorbing and implementing the Word of God in our lives helps us to TRUST Him and builds our FAITH! His Word contains invaluable wisdom and spiritual insight! We must also worship God through our trials! Remember while on earth we are in the "Valley of the Shadow of Death" God will show Himself to be more than able in any and every situation. HE CAN DELIVER US FROM ALL evil.... But You must learn to make Him Your focus. We can enjoy people, places and things but never allow them to be your life focus. Things and some people come and go... The Lord WILL allow us to experience many mountain top experiences... We can and should always delight ourselves in the Lord! Not because of what we receive but because of who HE IS! “True worshipers worship HIM in SPIRIT and in TRUTH!” Worship is our highest expression of our love for Him! He alone is worthy of all the praise! Have No idols or nothing before Him. Everyday live;"To GOD Be The GLORY!" HALLLELLLUJAH!!!
You can always count on God to be God. He is true to His Word! I pray that you have been encouraged, convicted and motivated to commit or recommit to live an even a greater life for the Lord! Life really is all about GOD! If you do not know Him, now is a good time to invite Him into your heart! He is always a prayer away! "HE WILL NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE YOU!" The wonderful thing about God is we can always be assured of His constant presence! For He is Omnipresent!“Yet in ALL these things we are more than conquerors through HIM who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor death, nor any other created thing can separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8.
GOD TRULY IS FAITHFUL!
What is it that the Lord requires of us? HIS WORD asks and then says: "And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to LOVE mercy and to WALK humbly with our GOD." MICAH 6
