We All Need God

Updated on April 17, 2012

We All Need God

It seems strange that intelligent folk would think,

That we came into being without a Master plan .

With no Creator we then formed into something,

From a low animal form we grew to intelligent man..

Why there are folks today who would rather believe

They came to being ,that it had not been planned .

They will forever cleave to that idea, foolish wise men.

With God's handiwork in view it's hard to understand !

We all need God,the innocent babe in mother's arms,

For as of ,"Such are the kingdom of God", Jesus said.

And the youth need God in their life as yet not lived.

Most of all they need Him now and in their days ahead.

We need God in every phase of life midst all of the trials,

During the troubles and sufferings that come our way.

Aged ones need to know He is near holding their hand

As they leave earth behind to go to a much better Day!

We all need The Lord regardless of our status in this life

.We know somewhere ,sometime earthly ties we will sever.

Death will come to us all believers and non believers alike.

Somewhere with God or without ,our souls live on forever!

I wrote this over forty years ago but it really

doesn't look like anything has improved.,if

anything it has become much worse though

at the time it was written we had started on

that slippery slope people are talking about.

In all that time it has become much worse ,to

the point of no return., perhaps if we would all

truly turn to The Lord and pray as we never

have before God would turn time back a little .

We don't know because God's time and ours

are different.Still,it is a good idea to pray

and pray as we never have before!!!

Miss Clara, I loved your story. You're the same age as my mother, and you look so much like one of my aunts you could be her twin. Keep on writing!

Hello Blossom, Thank you for your nice comments ,after all of these years of writing and now find out that people really appreciate,it is wonderful. Now that my husband passed away I have more time to write. He was disabled for almost 10 years and we kept him here at home, his biggest fear was that he would be put in a nursing home.I told him we would take care of him here,I miss him but I know he is in a much better place. Sorry. I didn't really intend to ramble on like that , Clara

Hi K And T, it is good to hear from you , I hope everything is well with you and your family. When I wrote that poem thing s were starting to get bad then but it is so much worse now,God has given me many years and I am thankful for that, I am 83 years old now and I never expected to be around that long but I guess He still has some things for me to do yet, maybe someone to touch with the poems that He gives me. It is hard to believe that man has grown so far away from God now.But if not for His mercy most of us would have been gone long ago. Thank God for each day that he gives us.Thanks for your comment ,Love , clara

I agree Ms Kish ,these words are right on time , what is more important then then the future of us humans and to continue to live ,and God holding our future in his hand! we can not add a day to our life ,it is a gift from him that we see another day.
