We Are Made New

Updated on October 21, 2009

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Before we we're saved we never thought about being made new or being born again. We thought of things of the world. When we come to Christ we are given a new beginning, a new chance at life, a chance to change our behavior, our thoughts and so much more in our lives. Jesus can change us because he is our Savior.

I have been painting the trim and doors and woodwork in my bedroom. They we're a light blue. They needed the paint job badly. We can look at this scripture and compare things we do or the way we live in life.

My doors in my room looked bad, I painted them white. After seeing the old and then standing back and looking at the new it gave me something to think about. We are made brand new when we come to know Jesus, our desires are differant, our outlook on life is differant.

It's amazing how He can see someone and make them new creations in Him. So stand back, look in the mirror and say I have been made new by my Savior Jesus Christ.

It is so amazing how simple tangibles in life can remind us of great spiritual truths. Your analogy is well taken and nourishing to the spirit. Thank you.

Thank you sis. Right now it just seems I take one step forward and two backwards. But I know that Jesus loves me and He in His own timing will make me like Him.

      Love you sis,
