We have an overprotective Father. .... Who loves us soooooooo much!
He is overprotective but you have to love it.
Father's Day is every day for us. We have an incredible Father who loves us beyond measure and is so very protective of us at all times. He tells us that He has made a covenant with us and that He will always keep it and He surely does. He knows what is best for us even when we clearly do not. He paid the way and He paved the way. He paid the way by going to the cross and paying for our sin. He paved the way for us that in our belief and repentance we can ultimately experience His love for all eternity. Now some will say that because they are or have experienced tribulation that somehow He is not being protective. Yet the bible tells us that even in our affliction He is always right there and He will always provide. He certainly does that for all of us. Whether we are able to see it or not is ultimately up to us. Sometimes times of tribulation actually bring us even closer to Him. He teaches us and explores our character and even examines our faith through those difficult times and His love for us is thorough and complete. There is nothing greater than His love for us. Sure there will be times of despair and even seasons of tribulation. We seem to think that death is in some way the ultimate ending. In reality, our human death is really only the very beginning of our eternal journey. God is here for us forever and ever and all of the time for all time. Time is not the same for God as it is for us. For us it is very finite and for Him it is very infinite. Remember in the bible where it says that in Heaven a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. Human comprehension is not the same as Godly comprehension. Try to comprehend the incredible magnitude of our God and His love. Realize that we could not have a better Father than our Almighty God. His love is unending and tremendous and His example is amazing. Here are some verses in the Bible which talk about fatherhood:
Ephesians 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of The Lord.
Psalm 103:4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from The Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.
Proverbs 3:11 My son, do not despise the chastening of The Lord, Nor detest His correction; For whom The Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Psalm 103:13 As a father pities his children, So The Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
God bless always.
