Wealth and prosperity creation through Feng Shui

Updated on August 23, 2013

Abundance through simple but effective actions

The art of Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese one that has become very popular in the west due to its wonderful ability to enhance and improve our surroundings. The tips or suggestions can work for your entire house or just a single room at a time. I am working using the Black Hat school of Feng Shui that sees your Prosperity Corner as the top left hand corner of your area as the relevant sector.

So imagine if you will that the entrance through which you have entered your bedroom for this particular example, is the bottom most part of your room. Now divide your room into 9 equal parts. Once that's done, the corner that's to your far left is your Prosperity Corner.

Creating abundance and wealth through Feng Shui is as much about doing actual activities as it is about the right frame of mind. You must really and truly believe that what you are doing will help you to manifest wealth. Speak the words out loud as you do your actions. This will definitely send out the right message to the universe, for Feng Shui is all about sending out the right kind of vibrations into the environment.

Thank the universe for the wonderful abundance coming your way as you clean and de-clutter. Remember, manifestation is all about belief. Believe that what you are doing and saying is going to change your reality.

So, once you have decided to do these actions with real intention and belief, here is what to do.

First clear away the clutter and clean your room or at least your prosperity corner thoroughly. Imagine sweeping away the negative energies that are blocking you from manifesting money. Remove all the dead plants and things that are giving off bad vibes. Once your space is clean, you can begin by adding power tools to jazz up your prosperity.

Purple - This is the best and most effective colour for the prosperity section. Put anything that you have that's purple here and see things change. From a large purple amethyst rock, to your purple lava lamp, it's all good here. Thing about tying purple ribbon to your trees or hedge outside. It might look odd, but it will work.

Red - This is a powerful colour and will definitely bring energy and excitement into your prosperity corner. Keep your red purse here if you want it to be zinging with cash. Also your new red heels if you're planning on walking or working your way into fortune. Men, your red power tie could sit here.

Green - Anything green will be ideally suited here. From a silk scarf that you wear to important meetings to uncut dollar bills in a frame, anything that has a hint of green would work here. If you've got a growing plant outside your window, make sure it stays nice and healthy.

Gold - Gold has long been the sign of prosperity, so if you have some, keep it here. From gold chocolate coins in a dish, to your grandmother's gold ring, keep it here.

Wealth and prosperity symbols - This is where you should keep things that remind you about prosperity. From photos of your dream home, or that designer dress you've always wanted, this is where you should keep things that remind you of prosperity you've already achieved or desire. If you think that JK Rowling is your symbol of someone who has done well for herself, have a picture of her here to remind you how a single mother living on benefits went on to write one of the world's best loved series of books.

Moving water - If you can, this is the place to have your fish tank, just make sure you keep it clean. Photos of rivers and waterfalls are also good here.

Round-leaved plants - As long as it is not a cacti and is healthy, any plant would work here, but especially one that has a rounded leaf because it symbolises growing money or coins.

Moving objects - If you've got space for a wind-chime or a sun-catcher, this is the place to keep it.

Just as there are things you can add, tools to help, there are things you must avoid and remove. These send out negative energy and can harm your wealth creating prospects.

Dirt and dust - You don't want dirt to block your path to wealth. Keep this area clean. Always.

Broken items - If the things in this section are broken, then most likely so are you. Fix what's broken or get rid of it.

Reminders of bad times, of tough situations - Just like symbols of prosperity can bring about a positive frame of mind, so too can the reminder of those days when you lived on beans and toast bring about negative energy. If your kitchen cupboard or fridge is here, make sure it's not empty.

Bins and trash cans - You don't want your money to be thrown away.

Dead plants - No dried flowers or dead plants here please. They give of dead energy and this is not what you want in this area. You want life, vitality.

Fireplaces - There's not much you can do if you've got a fireplace here, but you can drown out the fire by placing water, mirrors [which symbolise water] here. You can also add anything that's black here, for the colour black is also a symbol of water.

Toilets - again, there's not much you can do if your toilet is here, but you can keep the toilet seat shut when not in use. Also add some mirrors to you bathroom and black bath mats.

You won't believe this. Once before I started my prosperity journey and I didn't know anything, I heard about the left corner. I went to mine which was in a bedroom closet at that time and you will never believe what was in it. A pile of bills! Not just bills but old debts! Good thing I learned about some of this stuff.

      Dear Kenneth,

I'm so glad. I tend to forget and let stuff collect. Then I realise that I'm stuck and quickly get de-cluttering again. It always helps with clarity of mind and movement in other aspects of life.
