Wearing colored glasses!

Updated on August 7, 2013

Wear the glasses of "Love"

Very often we wear colored glasses and pass judgement on others. Even the so called cooling glasses do not reflect the reality outside. If only we wear the glasses of Love, we will get correct reflection of the world outside. Yes, the entire creation came out of Love, it is being sustained by love and love is the very reason for its annihilation too. Here i can give a simple example. It is mentioned in the ancient scriptures that beings are born from food, they are sustained by food and they are destroyed by food alone. I will explain this point a little further.

It is due to nourishment alone, we are healthy. Healthy parents are the reason for the birth of a healthy child, the child is nourished by the mother's milk. The mother partake nourishing food so that she can breast feed the baby. Thus food is the cause for creation as well as sustenance of any being in the world. Now a doubt may arise 'why food is attributed as a cause for the death of any? Faulty food habits leads to many a disease which results in the ultimate death of a being. Even if an individual lives for 80 years, he can not continue to rely upon the same food habits when he was young. The digestion system becomes weak over the years. Hence elders need soft food which are easy for their digestion. But, they can not be always vigilant in their diets. Knowingly or unknowingly, they start consuming certain food items which may become allergic in due course. Thus food is the cause for everything. Hence the people of ancient India practiced certain food disciplines during particular days. They abstained from solid food and took only fruits and milk. On certain other days, they even avoided fruits and subsisted only on water. This practice enabled their digestive system to get proper rest. But nowadays, we do not see such disciplines in food intake which cause many malfunctions in the digestive track.

Now let us revert to the main topic. Our vision is definitely gets colored due to the color of the glass we wear. What are those colored glasses? They are prejudices. We tend to judge everyone we encounter in life. We posit certain qualities in them though they may be innocent. We watch their form, their mannerism, and we listen to their talks. Immediately a picture is formed in our conscious and we easily judge the other people based on our understanding. Some people may look harsh outside but they are not so really. Some will be looking innocent outside but we are not aware of their background or activities. Hence, instead of judging others and approaching them with our prejudices, look at them with the glasses of Love which will not admit any judgement. I have already pointed out that the world is created out of Love and sustained by Love. A person's dress may be soiled due to the nature of his job. While looking at the dirty dress, we should never judge him based on the outer apparel. Even an ugly looking man be a perfect gentleman whereas a beautiful form will not guarantee nice human qualities!

What is the benefit of wearing the glasses of Love? If we wear the glasses of Love, we will see every one as love filled and we won't develop hatred towards any. A saint looks at the world as a form of God, i.e Love. Yes, God is Love and when you visualize Love, you perceive God everywhere. When we love all, prejudices ceases! Then every thing will look fine. Once Saibaba told a gathering of devotees, "There is no evil in creation, if you perceive evil, it is only in your vision (which is colored) Hence always wear the glasses of Love and look everything through those glasses. Then there won't be any agitations to affect the mind!
