Week 19

Faith Like a Tree

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

- Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessings come to those who trusts in the Lord and It is undeniable that the Lord looks upon the people who held great confidence in his name. They are called blessed. They know that the Lord doesn’t let them face their problems all on their own. They have his guidance and it is through these trials that the Lord creates upon a better out of them. How fortunate are they whom the Lord takes care! They are reflections of God’s unfading love as prosperity resides in their house that they also share them upon their friends.

As Christians who trust in the Lord continue to lift his name on high, they see it as a strong tower. They held their heads up high with this truth as it is written in his word which it really is. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower”. The Lord is a refuge to those in need. As his children, he wants the best for us.

On any part of the world, the tree has been a great part in the development of the society. It has many uses and as we look everywhere we can see how it greatly benefits a lot of people. There is sure a wholesome of things that can come from a simple tree. You can thoroughly derive the most common of stuff from it. From the chair you sit, the table you eat with, the bed you lay over, the books you read and the buildings you look upon; all cannot be made without it. It is no wonder that the tree signifies within it prosperity.

Those who put their faith in the Lord are like trees planted by the water. The tree isn’t threatened indefinitely as like any other that it should be bothered about it. It remains calm as the moments go by. It is one of nature’s beauty. It is a symbol of a strong faith. It stands sincerely with no worries. It does it part in the environment giving away fresh air to breathe and make itself a delight for anyone who comes to see it.

Animals find shelter in its shade. They can easily come to it for relief. They go unto it for some for some quiet time. They see it as a place of peace. They need not go else where for they can count on its strong stem. When the day is hot, they can be refreshed in its shade. Their sweat will be gone in just minutes of staying under its leaves. They see comfort in its vast branches. It’s unlike any other.

Its fruits are sought for by hikers who happen to pass by. It produces for them a source of energy for their journey ahead. It is approachable much too easily. It welcomes anyone who needs a break and its size holds to be favourable for everyone. It is big enough to hold within its branches so much people. One can take joy upon this wonderful view. Healthy Is its roots by the water that flow nearby. It holds its ground for the green leaves up above and its simply one of the best trees in the forest.
