Haunted Places: Welcome to Hell Town!

Updated on January 7, 2013

Boston Mills Township

What a name for a town. Hell town, (Boston Mills Township) Ohio is definitely one of the world’s most famous paranormal/supernatural legends. It’s also one of the strangest and most confusing.

There are around seven paranormal legends in Hell town. People say that the entire town is cursed. Is it all really true though? Some of the stuff is. Some of the stuff is over exaggerated. Here are the stories:

The Mutant Town

The Hell Town area is known as the Mutant Town or Mutane Town. The town is rumored to be the site of some sort of chemical spill or plant explosion. The government has been trying to cover up this fact. However, records show that there was never any chemical plant in the area. This plant apparently made a snake called the “Peninsula Python” gigantic. No one has ever seen the snake. If it’s real, it’s only a matter of time before it’s hard to miss. I personally would not be disappointed at all if this python didn’t exist.

The Cemetery

At this cemetery, there’s a ghost of a man that sits on a bench. The trees in the cemetery are said to move by themselves. Strangely, there is no bench at the cemetery and trees appear to be normal. It’s possible though that there was a time when these stories were true.

The Satanic Church

Apparently, everyone in town worships Satan. People have reported that black masses have taken place at the church, but not everyone in the town worships Satan. These Black Masses took place in the basement of the church. Unfortunately for the church, there are upside down crosses everywhere. What these upside down crosses are, are a piece of gothic revival architecture. Although they weren’t meant for satanic worship, you would think that the people building the church would have caught that.

The Hearse That Chases You

This one is creepy. According to this legend, once you set foot on Hell town, you’re the target for this hearse. A hearse will try to chase you down and run you over. If you go past the road closed signs (which appear to be the entrance to Hell Town) a man that lives near one of the signs will come out in his hearse and chase you down. There is truth to this story. A man bought a hearse for a short time as a Halloween decoration, but sold it shortly after. On the other hand, there are people that swear by it. They were chased by it and then it disappeared.

The Slaughter House

There is a slaughterhouse that is close by the cemetery. It is said that when you look through the windows of this slaughterhouse at night, you can see faces looking at you. However, digging up more research, the building was never a slaughterhouse. It was part of an old barn.

The School Bus

On the way back home from a field trip, it was said that a school bus full of kids were murdered by a killer or a group of killers. People that have seen the bus say that they’ve seen the spirit of the killer in the bus smoking a cigarette. People say the truth of this story is that a man and his family were living in it until they finished repairing their home.

The End of The World

The perfect name for a dead end road. The road is said to be badly damaged and the hill is supposedly very steep. The road keeps going until you get to the woods, where you can only go in by foot. It is said that the road is to be avoided at night. The road is possessed and many fatal car accidents have taken place on the road. It is claimed that an evil force will try to take control of your car and try to get it’s victim to crash. This story would be plausible, because people have driven their cars on this road at unsafe speeds and people have gotten into accidents because of wreck-less driving. Perhaps the evil spirit is a speeder.

A Strange Town

Hell town truly has a strange reputation. Some stories may be false, but some are also true. If you ever come across Hell town, make sure you find a way to escape that hearse rather than find a way in it.

I don't think I would step one foot down this road in the day or night. I'm going to add a link to your hub from mine, which has become known as ghost central. Hopefully you'll get even more traffic this way, and if you don't like it, then just please let me know & I'll remove it right away for you. Stop by my hubs sometime, because my latest hub goes beyond the spirit world.

Isn't that just a little bit north of where those crazy Craigslist killers lived? The ones luring people with the job, and then burying them?
