Well done ... Good and faithful servant.

Updated on June 1, 2017

Strong faith.

On Wednesday my sister in law Lea went home to be with our Lord. She truly fought the good fight and battled cancer for several years. It is a sad time for our family. Yet, her spirit truly lives on and the example she has left is certainly God given. Lea is survived by many. She has made a lasting impression on all of us by her incredible example and her incredible faith. She truly loved Jesus and lived her life that way. Lea was the oldest of six sisters . She is also survived by her loving husband Michael, daughter Megan and son Mike. Her Mom, Janyce ( another woman of faith ) and two young grandchildren she simply adored. Over the course of the last ten years I have been fortunate to get to know Lea very well. We had many talks about faith and the incredible love of our Lord, Jesus. Lea was a believer and she lived her life that way. She was faithful and loyal in every sense. Many could take and learn from her incredible example. Once a year for about the past five years, our families would vacation together in Sebastian, Florida, a small town on the east coast ( Atlantic Ocean ) of Florida. We only found Sebastian through Lea and Michael. We always had an incredible time and some really fantastic memories. We will cherish those now and forever. My wife Dana has always looked up to Lea and Michael as they have been incredible role models. I personally had never heard Lea say a bad or discouraging word about anyone. She would only pray for anyone who was not in a good place or did not know our Lord very well. Not to say she was perfect. None of us are and are all in need of our savior Jesus. I believe that God will tell Lea, " Well done good and faithful servant." That is what she always was and is. Though her journey in Heaven is only just beginning. She is only just on the other side of the curtain. I, for one, am so very blessed and humbled by the example Lea has left for all of us. I am quite blessed to be her brother and even more blessed to be her brother in Christ. She leaves this earth with all who knew her wanting to be better people by her example. The last few days my wife has been listening to the song, "Victory in Jesus." She has played it over and over again. It has given her a peace and comfort that only God can give. Lea, as well as all of us, do indeed have victory in Jesus. Here are some verses on victory:

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 16:33 In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world -- our faith.

Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:39 Nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God bless always.

      Lawrence,

Thank you for those very kind sentiments. Lea will be missed greatly yet her example will be missed most of all. God has her now and someday we will all be together in Heaven as Jesus said.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

      Blessings always.

This was a beutiful tribute to a really godly person. I didn't know Lea, yet it's like I've known someone like her all my life!

Lea sounds very much like an elderly lady I knew as a young man who was pretty instrumental in bringing me to really know Jesus well, we should treasure such folks

      Blessings

      Lawrence
