What Did God Say? And Why Do We Do This...

Updated on November 15, 2015

These Are Apples

The Ten Comandments

Moses brought the stone tablets to his people to be read. There were specific rules on them. The rules of the times.

These commandments are located in Exodus 20 in the Bible. The Third Commandment says that you are NOT to make any image of anything and worship it instead of God. He was quite specific that the object was not to be made of silver or gold.

Okay - Musing Further

The most important piece of jewelry a woman or man can possess is a ring made of gold that holds one or a multitude of diamonds. The wedding ring, itself, has only been around since the 1940's according to an article I read on the internet. You know what they say about articles on the internet.... they are there... they MUST be true, right?

Well. Back to that ring that people wear. It is a symbol of your love and faithfulness. Anyone who wears one, has promised to stay married. No divorce if you are wearing a ring.

But, many people believe that once you are married, you become that person's property. Fathers pass their daughters to the next 'guy' in a wedding ceremony like they are handling property. So. What does that make a woman? A possession?

Adam and Eve

Adam and Eve are known to be the first couple. Adam was created and when he was sleeping, God took a 'rib' from Adam and made a woman, which the word means 'taken from man'.

So. Now, Adam has a playmate. But, Adam is expecting supper. Where's my dinner? [I can just hear him]

So, Eve gets this apple and gives it to him. There had been some snake there that told her it would be a good idea. She had no reason to doubt the snake and if the snake said it, it must be okay.

Okay. So this apple was consumed by them, apparently they ate it at the same time. They would have had to, otherwise Eve would have known Adam was naked before he knew she was naked and there would have been some sort of trouble.

Adam would have said to Eve... "why are you looking at me in that way? You are acting quite odd."

Obviously, Adam and Eve were not married, since there would have been no one to officiate the ceremony.

And, there would have been no ring, since I'm quite sure that Adam did not do metal working. He was more of a naturalist, spending his hours naming animals.

The Point

Okay. So. The first couple did not have a ring. They were not married. They got kicked out of the Garden for eating an apple.

A snake caused all the trouble.

You have been blaming a woman since the beginning.

The snake should be tried again. This is the cold case of the millenium.

Satan The Snake

About the Apple Story

According to Genesis 2:17, the commandment about the Apple was given to Adam before Eve was even around.

So. Adam already had heard of the warning about the forbidden fruit.

About Eve

Yeah. It was in Genesis 2:22, that God took one of Adam's ribs and made a woman.

Genesis 3:16

According to what I am reading, in Genesis 3:16, God gives marriage to woman as a punishment to her.

Yes. It says it: God's punishment to woman is that she will be consumed with sorrow. That she will be quite sad when she delivers children and her husband will be who she is attracted to and that he shall rule over her.

Wow - My Teeth Hurt Now

Yeah. Isn't that kick in the teeth?

Food is not a punishment , but God told them that life would be hard and not easy, that thorns and thrisles would grow becuase of their disobedience , the land would not be paradise.

Yes all were banished from the garden , but they still walked the earth alienated from the Heavenly Father.

They listen to the voice of satan who wanted to be worshiped.

Was marriage a punishment before they ate the fruit ? How could it be if they were already married , they had no children before they ate .

Ge 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his (wife), and were not ashamed. Simple married

Here and in good standing with God.

So marriage was not a punishment here before fruit was eaten.

Genesis 3:6 clearly says that Adam and Eve were afraid of God and hid because they knew now that they were naked. That is when God confronted Adam and demanded to know how he knew. Then, he confronted Eve. And then, he confronted the Snake and then, all were banished with admonitions, including the one where marriage was indeed a punishment.

If you really read the bible correctly you will notice you have missed alot of truth,

Starting with were they married yes !

Ge 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his (wife), and were not ashamed.

      King James Version

Ge 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her (husband )with her; and he did eat.

The friut that was eaten not apple.

Ge 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized that they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made loin coverings for themselves.

      Figsleaves of friut after eating.

the thought God gives marriage to punish the woman is not true .

      New World Translation

Joh 3:29 Whoever has the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, when he stands and hears him, has a great deal of joy on account of the voice of the bridegroom. So my joy has been made complete.

Re 19:7 Let us rejoice and be overjoyed and give him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has arrived and his wife has prepared herself.

Marriage of union is a great event, before Adam and Eve sinned they were married and happy

      So happy Adam became poetic,

Ge 2:23 Then the man said: “This is at last bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh. This one will be called Woman, Because from man she was taken.”

Really scaning through the book will cause misunderstanding, missed infomation vital to understanding the scriptures.

Please consider reading everypart slowly, cross reference words, you can be successful in reading the whole bible in a year or more , but you do need to consider language barriers of the different translators , KJV has deleted important infomation

Their are other bibles you can use that has left things intact. Thank you for encouraging bible reading
