What Did You Just Say? Vol. 1

Over the past few years, the Holy Spirit has spoken numerous quotes to me that have become great sources of strength, hope, inspiration, and encouragement. While they are brief, I believe to add more to them would diminish their original meaning and purpose. Therefore, I have chosen to share a quote for each day of the week, rather than attempt to expand each into a hub. Publishing them as weekly quotes seems to be the best option for sharing them.
Many are these quotes, so I will simply label these as the first volume of more to come. Hopefully, you will find wisdom and truth in each quote each day as you journey through the various events and seasons of life.
Sunday
I don’t want to be anywhere or a part of anything that God is not a part of or would not be welcomed.
Monday
Although I am old enough to have the wisdom and understanding to not be foolish about most things; I am yet young enough to have complete childlike faith to trust God for everything. I am eternally my Father’s dependent. It is utterly foolish to live independent of Him.
Tuesday
God is the only god whose longitudinal and latitudinal reach is long enough and wide enough to cover the whole earth at the same time.
Wednesday
When we put the flesh in check, we remind the enemy that we don’t belong to him.
Thursday
A shut mouth is the best weapon of defense when facing battles. Only and only open it to pray, praise, and to lift up your brothers and sisters around you. If you do this, the victory will be yours; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Friday
No matter how selfish, self-absorbed, or self-centered we are or may become, God the Father still has more love, care, compassion, and concern for us than we could ever have for ourselves. God’s love is unfailing, unconditional, and unselfish. He has so much compassion for us, even in our sin and our rebellion against Him, that He will still save, deliver, and set us free when we turn to Him, repent, and choose His salvation. Rescuing us is His specialty.
Saturday
We all know those who enjoy throwing around celebrity names trying to impress others, right? Well, the greatest celebrity of all, Jesus the Christ of Nazareth, is on His way back. What are we doing to impress Him and show others that we know Him?

I once heard someone say that God may be impossible to satisfy, but he is easy to please! Thank you for sharing your inspirations.
Thanks, I can always use a little inspiration!! I hope to see more hubs like this one.
Beautifully done, thank you. I have to ask though, referring to "Saturday": Is it possible that we could ever do anything that would impress Jesus? After all He is God. How does one impress God?
