Are you Serving off of the Lord's Table, or Eating off of Satan's?

PlanksandNails' goal is to be a catalyst in encouraging the followers of Christ to pursue Biblical truth for themselves.

Many have strayed from the truth of God’s word because they have joined a religious movement called 'church' that makes them believe that they are in obedience to God when in fact, they are in opposition to His ways. This message will seem to be radical and even heretical to some, but the message is clear in Scripture to stay clear from the allure of man's traditions. The masses have become so accustomed to a particular template that detracts from Biblical faith that makes man the throne of adoration instead of our Father in heaven through Christ. Men desire to follow after something their eyes can see. They appoint prestigious religious titles and make them mediators between them and God. Today, within man's religious systems, the focus has shifted from the Creator to the created where the Headship of Christ has been replaced with headship of hirelings. People desire someone who they can tangibly see, relate to and feel comfortable with to lead and guide them. This is why they appoint officiates who mandate religious templates as a means to attain God.

Scripture states explicitly that God's Spirit does not dwell in buildings built with man’s hands, but rather in those who are are 'living stones.' The veil has been rent and the temple system has been abolished through Christ. God does not dwell in buildings with a special Priest class. Unfortunately, there is still a Priest class today that defies the work of Christ who carry professional titles called, 'Apostle,' 'Bishop,' 'Prophet,' 'Pastor,' etc. The masses have become dependent upon a religious title instead of the direction of the Holy Spirit to lead us into the truth.

Many feel guilty if they do not attend a certain church building because the salaried officiates state that it is 'the will of God.' They will question your faith if you do not partake in their canned religious services because they want to see your outward displays of 'righteousness' and 'obedience' within the four walls to be deemed to be on track with your relationship with God.

There is a shocking truth to be discovered in the pages of Scripture that exposes all the sincere religious efforts in the church system steeped in man's tradition. What many don't realize is that what is called 'church' is a trade-off of truth for a compromise that rejects the teaching of Christ and the apostles.

The 501(c) (3) Church

The Mystery of Lawlessness

The predictability of the staged church service is the secret working of iniquity.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. – 2 Thessalonians 2:7

Paul warned believers not to follow after another Gospel or to follow after another Christ that was contrary to what he taught. Unfortunately, many have fallen for the doctrines of demons that counterfeit the way of Christ.

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. – 1 Timothy 3:6

The modern church has claimed 501(c) (3) tax exempt status. They have become a 'Judas' that is not led by the Holy Spirit. They have become a spiritual whore of the government that takes hush money.

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. - Matthew 6:24

You can't both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can't both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons. - 1 Corinthians 10:21

They sell their Gospel wares in the name of Christ for profit, but they are not of Christ .

Satan's Table

The denominational church building is not the Lord’s Table because the system emphasizes special seating arrangements for those in positions of authority.

And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. – Mark 10:42

The prophets prophesy falsely,

and the priests rule at their direction;

my people love to have it so,

but what will you do when the end comes? – Jeremiah 5:31

It’s time to wake up!

The church system does not partake of the Lord’s Table, but Satan’s. You are not dining with Christ when your seat of placement is based on how many points you have on your VIP dining card.

The fact is that everything we know about concerning honour, authority and governing rule on this earth in this age must be cast aside if we are to follow Christ.

We do not have any right to request any special seating arrangements at the Lord’s Table. Christ said that the greatest in the Kingdom of God are the servants. The table of Satan has men fighting for special seating positions based on their entitlements. The whole worldly religious system is consumed with those who positions of authority and greatness based on man’s recognition.

On Satan’s table, man is the one who prepares the food. On the Lord’s Table, Christ is the one who has prepared the food, but we are the ones who are to serve it.

Can you see the clear distinction?

We are not to tamper with what has already been prepared by our Lord. We are not to knead our man-made traditions (leaven) into it, change the menu items or try to sell it to make money.

For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn't it he who sits at the table? But I am in the midst of you as one who serves. - Luke 22:27

Those who sit at Satan’s Table believe in another 'Christ' who is fashioned into the image of man. The desire for positions among men is not humility, but conformity to the hierarchical structures of the world.

Our modern minds want to borrow from the ideologies and philosophies from a materialistic mindset. What is called, 'worship' stems from man's motives, not Christ. God is not concerned with the pettiness of glossy outward behaviours, but the motive of our hearts. Truth is not about feeling comfortable in a religious template. Truth is about being set free from religious bondage of striving to attain a special seating arrangement at Satan’s Table deceived in believing that it is Christ's.

Dead Works

Christ is not synonymous with big religious steepled buildings with elaborate ritualistic programs within them. He is to be the centre of everything with the goal of knowing and obeying the Father's will. Anything that deviates from this is antichrist.

Why do so many accept the traditions of man as being God's will?

Why do so many partake in their religious ceremonies and rituals that cannot be found in Scripture?

The traditions of man is not about genuine faith. Being 'plugged in' a church building is an illusion. Submitting to religious hirelings is deception. Christ is our only true Shepherd who has been appointed the Head by his Father of all who follow him. All the religious ceremonies with their self-proclaimed salaried teachers directing their versions of 'worship' are all in vain. Reciting canned prayers and attending special weekly meetings to fill the coffers of the church is not following the way of Christ, but mammon.

The mess of organized religion is bondage. It is time to learn the way Christ via the Holy Spirit instead of being fed from the hands of men who are using you for their own personal gain.

Today, men are desperately trying to repair the tattered foundations of the church system that they have built. They call for 'revival,' but cannot see that God has sent them the storm of confusion for a reason. Instead of repenting while their foundations are falling apart, they are working vainly to repair their corruptive mess.

Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God – Hebrews 6:1

By the Spirit, we can do good works that glorify our Father through Christ, not glorifying religious buildings in a system of dead works. Many refuse to enter into God’s rest into the completion of what Christ has done.

Church programs convey the necessity that God needs us rather than the other way around.

The manifestation of the confusion of Babylon is found in buildings on every other street corner. The vain religious works of man are the product of their failed efforts to attain God. The product are millions of confused double-minded people among the thousands of different sects and denominations all being derailed from entering into God’s Kingdom.

Christ's work was not about building and filling physical religious buildings, but about being filled with the Holy Spirit.

For it is written,“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” – 1 Corinthians 1:19

When we glorify what Christ has done, then through him the Father will draw Himself to us.

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” - John 12:32

Yielding to Christ is about letting him live through us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

In Whose Name?

The ekklesia of Christ are not about the gathering of a large crowd of people at the same place at the same time every week.

Do really believe that all the people in church buildings are of sound mind in one accord with Christ by his leading through the Spirit in predictable ritual?

Many are sincere in wanting to gather together and experience what it means to follow Christ, but when they attempt to do it in ignorance of truth, they will not find what they seek.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6

We are not to assemble as the ekklesia in any way we see fit or what we think is best, but according to the pattern that we are shown in Scripture. The modern church gathers because they want to be part of something that appeals, relates and suits them at a particular time on the calendar. All they know is what is prescribed by their customary religious templates created by man because they have always done it that way.

If only people studied Scripture with the help of the Holy Spirit, it be pretty easy to figure out that man's traditions do not match up. Any gathering that is grounded in our own desires, preferences and pleasures is our own vain work. It is a fleshly endeavour. Christ will not be in the midst of the people who play 'church.' We are to gathering in the name of Christ, not a denominational title.

A gathering in the name Christ is about following Kingdom principles of all who are connected to the Head.

And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name – Luke 21:8

Can you not see that there is something wrong with the way people assemble together in what they call, 'church?'

You may see nothing wrong with your traditions, but to God it is an abomination. Step back and take an objective look at the ritual of 'church.' It has no Biblical precedence and what is done in Christ name is vain supposition.

The man many call 'Pastor' does not walk behind the sheep to make sure they are on the right path, but is elevated in front of them in artificial created environments consisting of pews, pulpits, stained glass and salaried officials.

We are all called to be a priesthood where all of us can build and edify one other. This cannot be done within the shackles of organized religion.

Christ is Lord of his ekklesia. Settling for a few select men as church officials will only make the masses see Christ from afar.

Are you willing to search the Scriptures to find the truth and open your heart to consider that the religious system is a counterfeit?

Assembling together in Christ's name is not about our names, your Pastor’s name, a name of a building or a denomination.

Do you gather together with a crowd of people called "church" at the same place and time each week in a predictable fashion?

      Graceinus,

I have sent a letter/ e-mail to "church" leaders before, but most will not acknowledge anything unless you have certain credentials that they deem worthy. The fact is, I don't care what they want, or if they accept me or not. All I cared about was being obedient to God when He told me to give the message to them. God Bless.

      Lifegate,

I see the corruption of "church" all around me and throughout the world. I am encouraged that there are some people that get the message, but most deem it as too radical. I even struggled with the title of the article because it is an extreme statement, but I believe it to be true. We live in a time when people no longer want to repent, even when the evidence is placed right in front of them.

I have enough material for a book, and have been slowly putting together chapters, but it takes many, many hours of work. I need Berean readers here to weigh and test the words and give feedback. Satan uses every trick in the book because he knows the Word of God as well. We must all have a good foundation in God's Word to thwart his trickery. Fighting for truth will always bring persecution. We cannot each be lone rangers fighting against the Antichrist spirit, but we need each other to be accountable and work together as the Holy Spirit leads.

Thank-you for your thoughts and I'll give it some consideration.

      John Smulders,

Thank-you for the complement of Scripture verses. By simply reading what the Church did in the New Testament affirms the corruption of what most call "church" today. God Bless.

lifegate, I think you have suggested a good idea. So, PandN should you decide to send some of your writings to them, you might want to mention the true Church of Christ does not and never will have a need for an address or a mail box.

God bless PandN and you too lifegate.

      Good Morning PandN,

I just had an idea. Take it for what it's worth. It seems that most of the people that read your hubs see what you are saying, but there are so many out there that don't and may never read your hubs. Maybe you could make copies of your writings and mail them to "churches". It's the lost that really need to hear. Will they listen? Maybe - maybe not, but at least they've heard. Anyway, just a thought. Have a great weekend!

The church has nothing to do with a building, it is made up of people who are the living stones that build up the church of Christ. Romans 16:16 A building cannot greet you but people can. Our lives are how we worship God-Romans 12:1/2 We have corrupted the teaching of the New Testament when we make the building the Church. Our bodies are the temple of God 1 Cor.6:19
