Spreading the Gospel of Jesus

Updated on February 7, 2018

End times

New book on signs of the end times. Are there signs of when Jesus will return.

Matthew 28:19 says 9 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

When you accept Christ and follow him, one of the main things Christians are called to do is to go out into the world and tell others about Jesus, and tell them what he did for them so that they can have the opportunity to have eternal life in heaven. Unfortunately only 2% of Christians ever share their faith in Christ with anyone.

There are many reasons why Christians don’t share Jesus with others, the biggest one is that it takes them out of their comfort zone, they are worried that they will make people not like them, or others will ridicule them if they share their faith. The great news is that there are ways to share the gospel that will help you get through the nervousness and allow you to share the gospel without offending people. If done in a loving and caring way, they will know that you care about their eternal life and care about them.

We are all sinners

Showing them that we are all sinners and you are not judging them, and that you genuinely care about them and where they spend eternity will get many more people to consider the message as something to think about.

The easiest and most effective way to start is by handing out or leaving good Bible tracts that use the law to show we are all sinners and will be judged and held accountable for all our sins on judgment day, if we do not believe, repent of our sins and follow Jesus. Once they agree that they are sinners and will be judged, the good news of what Jesus did for us on the cross will mean much more to them.

Are you a good person

Many people believe that being a good person will get them to heaven. Most people think that they are good people. The problem is you can’t be good enough to get to Heaven; everyone sins and therefore needs Jesus to get to Heaven. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me.” There is no other way except through Jesus Christ.

Handing out gospel tracts is the easiest, and best approach to planting the seed of the gospel and getting the gospel into places where it will not get read any other way. Tracts are very effective, you may not see the results but they do work.

Benefits of planting seeds

Here is a great story about how well they work. A shop owner is Australia handed a gospel tract to every customer who came into his shop. He did this for almost 50 years. A customer from England received a tract from him and became a Christian and a minister; he went back to Australia 25 years later and went to see if the shop owner was still there. The man had died not long before that. The minister talked to people who knew the shop owner and they said he never had anyone come back because of the tracts but he kept handing them out until he died.

The minister spent some time investigating and found many people all over the world that had read the tracts and were saved because of the shop owner handing them out. The shop owner never knew while he was alive, but he most certainly got his reward when he got to heaven.

Evangelism training

Go to the and spend some time there reading about a way to share the gospel that is easy and effective. Listen to Hells best kept secret, read God has a wonderful plan for your life. Look at the tracts that they have available and learn the methods that they use to show people how to become true believers so they know with out a doubt when they die they are going to heaven.

If you really want to learn, buy the book "The school of biblical evangelism". I feel it's the best evangelism book there is, and should be read by all Christians.

How to share the gospel

The time to start is now

Find your way to not be part of the 98% who don’t share the word with others. God has enough grace for all of mankind, and he wants everyone to come to know him. We are needed to spread God’s word to others.

If you believe the Bible is true, and you believe that it is God’s instruction manual to his followers, than you need to all find your way to lovingly spread the word of God and let others know what Jesus did for them so they can spend eternity in paradise.

How to evengelize Once you realize we must spread the word of God, here is the best way to go out and do it.
