What to do when you don't know what to do...
Where do I go from here?
I have found myself in this place quite often. Some days I look at myself and ask what am I doing? Some times I look at myself and ask what did I do with my life? Some days I'm satisfied with my choices and I know that the only thing I can do is make the best out of all situations but the most important thing I've learned is that I can go to God and trust that he will bring me through anything. Some days it is harder to "let go and let God" but the result is always the same in the end; no matter how long it took me to let go.
This morning started out as of one of those days. I didn't know what to do until I heard a song playing on the radio. It was take me to the King by Tamela Mann.
After listening to this song a few times, I actually felt better. I was able to let go of what had been boggling my mind. I love music and some times it's the best way for me to deal with things. I know that prayer will help me through all situations but sometimes I don't really know what to pray for. At those times, something like a simple song can ease my confusion and guide me through my unsure feelings. It's funny how you can go to people and talk about your problems or concerns and you get so many different responses. Even with all of the different opinions, I'm left treading at the same spot I started; still not knowing what to do. From now on I will do a better job with taking my concerns, worries, and problems to God. If you don't, maybe you should too. I'm not saying that other people will lead you in the wrong direction, but it just may not be the direction you need to go in. What God has planned for you is for you and no one else will understand. Advice should always be taken as advice and not be used as an influence when you can't find your way. Find your way to seek guidance from someone that will never steer you wrong. When you don't know what to do; fall down on your knees and pray. Seek guidance from God and he will always help you figure things out.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
