What, Who, When and Where is God?
What Is GOD? Well this is only an opinion, as well everyone will have one here even if they say they do not.
GOD is The very Top Dog in the pack. He is not a god, but in fact The GOD. He is above and beyond Time/Space and the Comprehension of any other Being.
This is what in fact makes GOD God. The God of gods, The KING of Kings and The LORD of Lords. Without GOD there can be nothing, but with nothing there still is GOD. Lets put it this way if ever thing ended today GOD will be here tomorrow.
Some Dictionary's would give something along these lines as a definition.(God a being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and upon or by and worshiped by a people or person. A perfect omnipotent, omniscient, and every present being and/or intelligent force, originator and ruler of the Universe. The principal object of Faith and Worship.)
I would say GOD is the state of being.
Now to the rest of the question.
Is GOD there only for those who believe? I would have to say No! Because of my faith in and of the Story of The God of the Christian's Bible. The Bible accounts state: That God created the Heavens and the Earth. Which fits with the above and fore mention description from above. They also describe a system or an order of events which also suggest Intelligence. Instead of chaos or chance.
So this to me would imply that GOD did create and enforces a structure for the existence of such things. That we can and can not Conceive or understand. The Bible also refers as well does the story, that the Creator is pleased with what He created and that it is Good! Now that would be every thing outside of His Self, Because before this creation or restoration there was no time only space.
The story relates that GOD is the Father of all things seen and unseen. That He Knows everything that Happens as it Happens and Is very Good at knowing the out come of every day events and happenings before hand. Hence All knowing, that is of That which is able to be Known! But Nothing is still nothing even for GOD. He set it up this way or so the system would dictate it, that way.
God is Just and Fair, Honest and True and Is pure Love unfailing. So all and everything He Did and or Does has a purpose and a place or position. And to the Last Part of the Question.
Why do we need to think there is one or many?
There is a verse in The Good Book that goes something like this, or a long these lines.
When I was a child I walked, talked, thought, acted, noticed and comprehended, as a child. We are often times referred too as Sheep in the story or as too little Children for these very reasons, describe for us the Human nature we Humans posses in general or as a common being.
That we always question our very existence, that we are always searching and striving for answers, that we desire these answers. That we create and procreate. We are Builders of things, we have purpose. We are Dreamers and thinkers all these things are what Our Father is and does, for He made us all in His Image and because it pleased Him to do so or to Create us, for His pleasure is to Create.
The good Book is a Book and not a legal document, read it as a book. Learn the story and the stories contained there within it and you shall find that God stands before you and that Jesus is within you and wherever you turn there also is Their Spirit.
