When Problems Lasts Long.

Hannah Embraces her son after divine visitations.
Hannah Embraces her son after divine visitations.

His Grace Is Sufficient For You.

2Co 12:7-9

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me. l

Job 2:7; Eze 28:24; Lu 13:16; Ga 4:13-1

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

De 3:23-27; Mt 26:44

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Ro 5:3; 2Co 7:4; 13:4.

Because of his stout dispositions towards God and the work in the vineyard, no one would have expected Paul the apostle to make this or these statements. No one would have expected him to cry out. Even though he swam in the river of divine abundance of revelations, even though he towered above the other apostles who were in the vineyard before him, and even though he would have advised and counselled a distressed crier thus..” Don't worry,God knows your problems, he will answer you soon” he himself was this time, the distress crier.

Still writhing in the pains of the thorn in the flesh, powered by a messenger of satan at hand to buffet him out of recognition, this great apostle had to equally spend his energy beseeking the Lord God , that “this thing” might depart from him, this he did thrice, the lenght and breath of which we were not told.

I remember the Shunamite woman, her problem[ barrenness] lasted long , but when got visited her through the man of God Elisha, she conceived and bare a son..2Kings 4:16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

That is your portion, accoring to the time of life, you, you, you, and you all will embrace your babbies in the mighy name of Jesus.--Amen.

  1. Which thing ?, a stuborn but long standing problem that refused to bow even to the anointing and power that breaks yokes flowing through this man of God. God's reply was,” And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Paul confirmed. When. God arises to help, our strenght which had failed us all along, becomes perfect n that weakness, we begin to do exploits becuase a divine ability has ben given unto us, because are the sons and daughters of the most high God.

Because of this response from the throne of grace, because God's voice spoke life into the weakness and pains and because be believed Him [God] apostle Paul comforted himself and like David, encouraged himself in the Lord.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong”.2 Cor 12;10.

Remember we are talking of long standing problems and the sufficiency of God's grace to wipe them off when ever he arises to help.Your problems may be wearing a long- standing garment giving you nothing but nightmares, your problems must have thought you how to seek God's face, an exercise you are not conversant with, your problems may also have thought you how to tarry long and many times, even more than Paul's three times, one thing I must not fail to remind you is that God's grace is sufficient for you. God will certainly see you through after you must have prayed these prayer points.

Remember Hannah, and Peninnah: that Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. Her case was a long standing problem, she besought the Lord many times, but it looked impossible, until God came down, the impossible immidiately became possible, prophet Samuel came calling. This is your portion in the name of Jesus.

Remember Abraham and Sarah, their case was long standing and stoburn, but when God arose to His promises, Isaac came calling.

The woman with the issue of blood , had a long standing problem too and when the messaiah pèassed her way, she siezed the opportunity to touch His garment, the power in the garment , roasted the problem immidiately and the woman went home rejoicing.

I remember the Shunamite woman, her problem[ barrenness] lasted long , but when got visited her through the man of God Elisha, she conceived and bare a son..2Ki 4:16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son.

Here the Psalmist complains that God had long withdrawn. He earnestly prays for return and comfort every area of his life.

He assures himself of an answer of a miracle, coming directly from God.

Of a truth , God sometimes hides his face, and leaves his own children in the dark concerning their interest in him: and this they lay to heart more than any outward trouble whatever. But anxious cares are heavy burdens with which believers often load themselves more than they need. The bread of sorrows sometimes looks like the saint's daily bread;our Master himself was a man of sorrows. It is a common temptation, when trouble lasts long, to think that it will last always. Those who have long been without joy, begin to be without hope. We should never allow ourselves to make our beds in doubts rather than faith. Whatever we experience, good or bad should drive us to our knees.

In this way believers pour out their prayers, renouncing all hopes but in the mercy of God through the Saviour's blood: and sometimes suddenly, at others gradually, they will find their burdens removed, and their comforts restored; they then will come to the realisation that their fears and complaints were unnecessary, and acknowledge that the Lord hath dealt bountifully with them and He is working He never sleeps nor slumbers concerning His children. This truth is the bases of faith a belief in a truth that we don't see physically, but with the spirtual eye balls. In our Christian life we will be faced with this principle that without faith it is impossible to please or appease Him for He is truth. How about you? Do you have faith in God even when the problems lasts long ? .
